Zeller is a warm body. A 7 ft body. Danny appears to like him b/c he can run the floor, which honestly is somewhat unique. Other than that, he's average to below average in most aspects of the game. Our big guy inventory is not impressive. I think that's why he plays.
Jaylen is 19. It is hard to focus on winning games and developing young players. I'm sure that he's getting tons of experience in practice. He's too good to be in the D-league. Brad Stevens is doing whatever he thinks will help them win the game. I would much prefer this than the embarrassing displays of lottery teams that continue to tank year after year. It's not just Philly. Phoenix, Sacramento, Washington, Orlando, New Orleans, New York, and Denver have not been relevant in a while. I'm sure many of these teams wouldn't mind playing Jaylen 30 minutes a game while struggling to win 30 games over the year.
