21-12 on fouls. Such horsecrap. There should be more ways for teams to hold refs accountable for games like this. Such BS.
agreed. but i give credit to the spurs, they really play under control and disciplined. they never gave up either.

good game, dispite the outcome.

What the Spurs have done, in terms of being relevant/ legit contenders since the late 1990s, is pretty remarkable.
Celtics fan for life.

The fact that we got schooled by the calcified remains of David Lee says it all, I think.

Can't blame the refs.  This team as currently constructed can't compete for a title.  The Spurs can.
This has nothing to do with the game that was just played.

I have a feeling we'll get a great center thru trade by all-star break  8)

Spurs outrebounded the C's 13-3 in the fourth quarter.

Brad needs to put a mandate onto Danny - get me some help in the big department. Even someone like Noel, who is due back any day now, would help us tremendously rather than being forced to play the corpse of Amir Johnson.

We play this team in the playoffs we get swept - with maybe one game being close.

i dont usually **** about the refs, but they are bad tonight. [dang].
i don't usually complain about the refs and I'm certainly not going to start tonight.  I love tommy but you gotta take what he says with a grain of salt when it comes to refs. We didn't lose this one because of refs. Spurs outplayed us.

25-9 FT disparity. This isn't something people are imagining.
we shouldn't have fouled them so much, then.  It happens. When a team is superior to you offensively, fouling them is sometimes your only option.  On the flip side, if you settle for jumpers and don't mix it up much inside, you aren't getting to the line.

That's very true, but it wasn't the case in this game
I'm bitter.

Yep, it says that if David Lee is calcified remains, Amir is a straight up fossil

The fact that David Lee grabbed 7 offensive rebounds in 18 minutes sums up one of the biggest problems we've had all season.

Noel might be an upgrade over Zeller rebounding wise, but he and Amir are very similar rebounders (Amir better offensive, Noel better defensive, roughly equal overall)

We need a good rebounder, not another average one

Exactly. IT was driving just as much as usual. The refereeing was one-sided. Maybe it didn't decide the game, but one team had a distinct advantage.

We took 10 more three pointers than them and were outrebounded by 10.  Most fouls happen when you attack the paint and mix it up inside.  Spurs are much bigger than us.  We settled for long range bombs and long jumpers that kept us out of the paint and limited our potential to draw fouls.  That's who our team is.  Don't whine about the foul disparity. Spurs are a better team. We should be proud we kept it close against one of the few real contenders in the league.  Nice game.  We still look like a solid 55 win team this year.
