Horford
Jerebko
Brown
Smart
Rozier

Absolutely rocked the Wolves tonight.   It's because of this lineup we won.   This lineup has the potential to matchup defensively against anybody in the league

AB and IT are just too small ... Doesn't mean they are not good players, just too small overall. It is especially a problem during switches/PNR

Crowder as solid as he is defensively has been atrocious offensively . Suddenly he can't shoot again.

why not start the game with a lineup that can set the tone defensively (not too shabby on the offensive end either)

Defense wins championships

That will be our future starting lineup, except replace Jerebko with either of Yabu, Zizic or the BKN 2017 pick

no.

One 10 minute stretch of dominance over a young team that lost all sense of direction shouldnt lead to this type of massive overreaction.

That lineup did play well( I really liked Jaylen on Wiggins) but I like our starters. The only one who should change is AJ. He should back up AL.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
It's just a matter of time before jpotter chimes in to explain why Jerebko should be starting over Amir.

Great to see our young guys play well tonight against a supposed better young team. Brown, Smart, and Rozier could really lift us to another level if they pan out. Loving the way all of them are playing at each stage of their careers.

I would like to keep Jerebko though...

I don't know about Yabu or Zizic instead of Jerebko...

But a more talented/longer version of Jerebko either through FA or 2017 nets pick (Giles, Hartenstein, Rabb for example)

Overreaction much? If it wasn't for Thomas, we wouldn't have been in the game, but we should bench him?

Twas a good match up to exploit that particular team. Let's not get ahead of ourselves

I hope that's not our starting lineup. I want at least two players that are high level NBA players, in addition to Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, and Horford (who will hit a decline at some point in the next couple of years). I'd be happy with a current all star (Cousins) and a high draft pick.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

If you would prefer to lose more games, then sure.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

it's a better lineup (especially defensively , team passing) than the undersized predictable offense starting unit right now

Last years lineup, Crowder, IT  etc.  has been overachieving... something that can't be sustained for the long term...  Teams are already picking IT apart when the Celts play D...

For the 20 points he scores the guy he guards is just as effective and we get killed on switches/pnr

bring him off the bench...   I'm a IT fan but for every 20 pt performance he also gets burnt on the other end...  i don't care if he is an all star, this is the truth... our D defense collapses because IT can't provide solid D against switches/PNR....

Again defense wins championships, not offense

you know we would have been blown out , if the starting unit at the start of the game , kept playing

It's a weak team D starting unit.... weak PG D,  weak rebounding unit

Tough for me to comment not having even seen a replay of the game yet. I want to ask though, AB's numbers have been down since Horford and Crowder returned. Is this just those guys picking up rebounds and shots that AB had been covering in their absence or is there a communication/fit issue with those guys back?

I am an AB fan and would not rush into taking away from his minutes though I believe his +/- is not great. Is that because he is against other teams starters or is there more to it?

I think you replace IT from starting at your own peril though I always thought he may become a sixth man once we had another guard with handling skills and/or a forward who puts up the sort of points we hoped to get from Durant, or close to that.

TR is making his mark so down the track he may force his way in, not yet though.

I agree although probably not after tonight.  Horford, Isaiah and Crowder are probably going to be here a while.  Jerebko might not be by then.  He could be though.

In the future as these guys develop though more pt for them.  I'm also not opposed to trading one of Horford, Isaiah or Crowder at some point but they are pretty good.  Same with our young guys.

I want to build with these guys.  We finally have everyone healthy for once.  Now we just need to attack.
