We got bullied and humiliated and we will continue to get bullied with this roster!!!  Thanks Danny!!  Is there a softer team on the front line in then entire NBA???????????

You simply canNOT allow that to happen on your HOME court on NATIONAL TV without a response.

I agree.

But I fault Stevens as much as Danny.

I think Stevens' system and Stevens himself have a huge influence on whom Ainge acquires.

Noel, Faried and Monroe don't "fit" Brad's system. I don't think we'll ever get any of them or any rebounding or shot-blocking specialist unless they can also pass and shoot (wake up, brad, sounds like a unicorn to me). I also don't think we'll get DMC because golden boy, Brad doesn't want him.

Size matters in the NBA way more than it does in college ball, so the Butler success formula has to be modified to get an animal rebounder, even if he does NOTHING else.

I think you are incorrect in your assessment.  For Stevens, I think the #1 quality he looks for in a big man is the ability to defend the pick and roll.  This is significantly more important to him than shot-blocking.  On offense, he wants someone who isn't an iso-ball scorer.

Ainge isn't willing to commit big long-term money to a role player until he gets another star.  Guys like Noel, Faried, and Monroe aren't guaranteed to start if they were the fourth big in a rotation with Horford, Johnson, and Olynyk.  I would actually guess that Stevens wouldn't start any of them in that rotation.

The Celtics' toughness is in the backcourt. Imperfect team: playoffs backcourt, lottery frontcourt.

Stevens will never win anything in the NBA without a guy who can bang the boards.

Yes he should have been dealt with. He wants to rub it in the Celtics faces and disrespect them then deal with concisquences. Sad part is did it make any Celtic player mad? I didn't see anyone react. I guess they didn't mind getting their faces rubbed in it by a chump player.

Zaza Pachulia is exactly the sort of player that the Celtics need.

Did he "pat" his own ass, or somebody else's? One is a misdemeanor, the other is adorable.  Please confirm, OP.

Regardless, we need Perk back.  Tired of not having an enforcer around here.  And when we do, it's Kelly taking it to the extreme and ripping off arms.  What next, Kelly... go Ed Gein on em? Tired of this crap.  Go Lakers.

I'm tired of feeding you guys these pearls that go unappreciated.  LarBrd and maybe some pervert that just lurks are the only ones with a sense of humor around here.  Taking my talents to Silver Screen and Roll.

Peace.

I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

I'll agree they aren't "pearls"  if we are assuming they're being read by a majority of others without "theory of mind" skills.  We should have determined that first, I'll take the blame for that though.

Larger point being: This forum sucks lately.  One overreaction after another, none of which have any substance, lack of humor / enjoyment, and few people actually making informed comments / arguments.

It was a bush league move, but that doesn't mean you stoop to that level. Just beat him on the court next time.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Yeah, not gonna lie, it's not fun browsing on here recently. It's very negative imo too.

I've actually just started lurking on r/bostonceltics on reddit recently, it's pretty lit over there. you dont get threads that last many days like they do here (i hate threads that are still being discussed a week from now, unless its the NBA thread or the Nets thread). it's generally much more light and comedic there too. I enjoy it a lot.

Thanks.  Yeah, those and extended comments in game threads can be good too.  The doom and gloom has just been depressing.  I've only been able to watch parts of replays, but Horford has looked great so far.  I think we'll end up being just fine and seed ourselves for a 2nd round bid.
