So I was getting a haircut, and the shop was filled guys doing the same. A National sports program of some kind, was on the many TV's in the place. On popped Zaza Pachulia doing his "showing up act" patting his rear end after hitting a simple jump shot, while sportscasters, and patrons laughed, as the Celtics were getting their axx's handed to them, on prime time National TV, at home at the Boston Garden.

My question to you...should that have been dealt with swiftly in the next few plays?

Are you disappointed Zaza didn't at least get a mistake elbow in the head?

I got to thinking how old Jim Loscutoff, Dave Cowens, Bird, ML Carr, KG, Perk, etc would have dealt with it. Maybe those days have passed.

thoughts?

Who would have done it?  Zaza is bigger and rougher than most of the guys in that game.

It is not that kind of league anymore.

Well we have Kelly and Tyler as our enforcers, who can match that? Oh wait...

Kelly is an excellent accidental enforcer.  See Kevin Love 2015 playoffs knockout.

Accidental? Any Cavs fan will tell you that he intentionally yanked Love's arm out of its socket!

Fair enough, if those are your feelings.

Smart would happily wax his arse out. He never backed down against Cousins, what makes you think he'll back down on this chump?

Marcus Smart with an "accidental" strike to the groin.

Zeller knocked Horford out for two weeks.

Did he "pat" his own ass, or somebody else's? One is a misdemeanor, the other is adorable.  Please confirm, OP.

Regardless, we need Perk back.  Tired of not having an enforcer around here.  And when we do, it's Kelly taking it to the extreme and ripping off arms.  What next, Kelly... go Ed Gein on em? Tired of this crap.  Go Lakers.

I Love KG but get real he ran once real contact started and want no part of him.

I think that my tongue was in my cheek like most of the other posters on this thread were.

On a more serious note, we wouldn't be having this conversation nor would our old Hawks enemy (man, I've always disliked this guy, but would probably love him if he were on the Cs) have had 8 rebounds in one quarter, 12 for the game and 8 ORB? if we had a strong big who could rebound.

We got bullied and humiliated and we will continue to get bullied with this roster!!!  Thanks Danny!!  Is there a softer team on the front line in then entire NBA???????????

You simply canNOT allow that to happen on your HOME court on NATIONAL TV without a response.

I agree.

But I fault Stevens as much as Danny.

I think Stevens' system and Stevens himself have a huge influence on whom Ainge acquires.

Noel, Faried and Monroe don't "fit" Brad's system. I don't think we'll ever get any of them or any rebounding or shot-blocking specialist unless they can also pass and shoot (wake up, brad, sounds like a unicorn to me). I also don't think we'll get DMC because golden boy, Brad doesn't want him.

Size matters in the NBA way more than it does in college ball, so the Butler success formula has to be modified to get an animal rebounder, even if he does NOTHING else.
