What does anybody see in this guy? I can not wait until he is off this team. He is a goofy, flat footed, no passion, no hustle, tool. My post is angry because he could be so much more of a player.

My Monday morning rant is now over.

Above average shooting, passing, ball-handling for a big man.  Smart positional defender.  Active in passing lanes for a guy his size.

Who cares about the hair? Who cares if he's goofy?  It has consistently been shown that the team is better with Kelly playing substantial minutes.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

The problem is his soft-as-sponge mentality. If Danny can fuse Smart's tenacity and defense along with Kelly's shooting, we'd have a superstar on our team.

He should start packing now if he's still not assertive enough to create offense, instead of always deferring to someone on the team.

He is still not 100 percent since coming back from the injury.   You can tell his body looks "soft" vs start of last season

I would say give him the month of Dec to build his strength again.

that's his worst offense imo. I effing hate when this guy passes up an open shot so someone else can take a contested shot.

He barely tries on defense , little effort to battle for position or blockout or do anything thing that might require contact.  So if he does not shoot , then he is worthless.

Watching the game last night, I had to chuckle at posts that suggest he is a vital part of our future.   I think he is versatile and has a nice skillset, but I think it is folly to suggest his is more than a bench player.  He may be a nice one at that but that is where his future lies.

We got little guards in there fighting for rebounds while Kelly stands around OUtSIde the paint watching the game.

I understand he is going to be off on offense.....but there is zero excuse for his not trying on defense, at least Zeller stood in there and took some charges.   Kelly did NOtHiNg to stop Deng or Townes inside ....he stood there and watched them score. I would have sent his worthless butt back on the plane to Boston.  His effort is pee poor .....no excuse for lack of effort. Twirling his hair with his fingers like a 4 th grade girl.
He is a total sissy

Kevin Love would disagree with you.

I think Olynyk will look great in black and white, starting at PF for the Brooklyn Nets. Danny, please trade him to Brooklyn- today!

Please don't, he's pretty much a perfect fit for their system of jacking up 3s

No risk of that.  If passing up open 3's was a stat Kelly would be HoF worthy.

He's a valuable but flawed player. He's not good defending bruisers down low, and he's a poor rebounder for his height. But he actually plays good team defense. On offense, he's a good passer and stretches the floor.

Homeboy is not an all-star nor a max-level player, but he can play an important role on a championship team.

I like Olynyk and it is not a coincidence that throughout his career the C's have been better with him on the court than on the bench. However, with him becoming a free agent this offseason I'm not sure he's the type of player that you want to commit to at the price he will command.

If we are able to move him for a big that can be more of a factor on the glass at the deadline I would probably do it.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

KO is honestly my favorite Celtic, but I'm near the end of my rope with him. At least a dozen times a game I'm screaming at my TV for him to shoot, but he just passes it up to someone who is a worse shooter for a more difficult shot.

Brad Stevens should lock Kelly in a room and force him to watch Ryan Anderson tape -- interspersed with images of Ryan Anderson's contract -- for 72 hours until his conscience disappears.

If he could just get it through his thick Canadian skull that an open shot for him is good for the team, he could be such a positive threat ... he somehow needs to absorb Marcus Smart's lack of conscience shooting the ball, but I'm starting to give up hope that he ever will.

Olynyk is great in his role as first big off the bench.

Ask him to do more (i.e. start) and I think he'd be overwhelmed as far less effective.

But therein lies the problem, he's easily our 2nd best big man currently.
