I still can't get over the fact that we're like 13 games into this season and there isn't a single 2016 draftee making a name for himself. We're talking historically pathetic draft if this continues. Last I checked, #27 pick Pascal Siakam and his 5.8 point, 4.3 rebound averages would be the frontrunner for Rookie of the Year if it wasn't for the 2014 Draftees (Embiid and Saric). It's amazing. Buddy Hield is leading all 2016 draftees with 8.7ppg (38% shooting and 24% from three). Andrew Harrison is leading all 2016 draftees in mpg (24.1). They weren't kidding when they said this draft was weak outside of Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram (considered a project). Jamal Murray had a nice night tonight. Maybe he'll be the first to start making some noise.
I do think Jaylen has a bright future ahead of him. He's young and this the perfect situation for an athletic raw prospect to slowly develop. I love his mentality. Long-term, I hope he'll be seen as a stand-out from this draft.
