The C's should be looking to make a trade that brings back some real size before this season is over. Be it someone who can defend the rim like Nerlens or a bruiser who can help on the boards like Vucevic, they need to be looking at trades before we ever get to free agency.

If you get Nerlens or Bogut, they would be rentals only.

I don't think Bogut would be worth bringing in. Nerlens wouldn't necessarily be a rental if he proves worth whatever his next contract is going to be.

We need better athletic young bigs .....KO and Amir and Zeller just don't cut it.   I d keep Amir for third string .

Need more talent back there with Horford.

Exactly. Cousins fits the bill. Or Bogut or Noel as rentals would.

Bogut is neither athletic nor young.

Who are the big star free agents to look forward to next year?

If I doesn't look too promising I'd almost consider a Zeller/Amir for Monroe and a pick deal.  IT why I'd want another pick is a mystery. Bu I'd take 2 years of rebounding and post play to go with the first 2 years of Horford.

Jerebko is the only guy worth keeping, and not for $8 million. The others are strictly lottery team level--Olynyk, AJ, Zeller and Mickey.

It's clear from the Detroit game tonite, with Horford and Crowder back, that Ainge needs a 4 to play alongside Horford. One more player, Danny. Go get him. Somebody who can rebound and play D. Noel, anybody?

Yeah. Monroe is good. A lot of guys out there are better than what they have. Horford needs somebody good to play next to.

Get off your duff, Danny, and stop dreaming about the next Larry Bird.

I can't wait.

Amir is an OK bench big, running out of gas... Too limited to be considered a starter on a good team.

Kelly is all that Kelly will ever be. Kelly has no hunger to win a basketball game.

Zeller is an end of the bench, non rotational big, or a rotational player on a team that is tanking.

Mickey is finding it difficult dealing with NBA size, and finding a way to be of value in the short minutes he gets.

Please Danny, find the C's some "size" with the competitive attitude of Smart and Crowder.

Pick one. Noel is not a good rebounder.
I'm bitter.

nerlens wouldn't be a rental.  He's a restricted free agent.  We could give him his qualifying offer this summer and even with the cap hold of 11 mil we could target a max free agent before extending Noel
