This appears to really be just a phony internet rumor rather than a real NBA rumor, but I'm just throwing it out there as a point of discussion about what fair value for Harden might be.
 Boston sends:
Bradley
Brown
Smart
Nets '17 and '18

Boston gets:
Harden

I understand that this deal has to be tweaked to match salaries and can't take place for a while because of Harden's recently signed contract.

James Harden is an fantastic player, even a MVP caliber type of player, but you want to literally give them our young prospects, and the Nets picks on top of it? No thanks.

That site is beyond fake lol. It shows up in my Celtics newsfeed everyday with a different superstar.  In the past week it's been us getting Melo, AD, PG13 and someone else I can't remember...may have been Lebron LMBO...

Now this would fix our problems down low!   JK   This trade idea is beyond silly.

We'd be even worse defensively with harden and missing great defenders in bradley, brown and smart

Offense isnt really our biggest problem
Defense and rebounding are where we are lacking

No...then the Celtics become the Rockets of the East.

No thanks, I'd actually ponder doing that deal for Westbrook but not Harden.

But honestly though... can we find a way to keep at least one of Bradley/Brown/Smart and replace them with either a future pick or some young players. That's essentially packaging away our defense, with Crowder our only main lock-down defender left (unless you think Horford is a "defensive stud" as well).

You could add a Westbrook OR Harden, but packaging away the defense would still make a difference and somewhat negate the scoring either player would bring.

Houston is not going to deal Harden. He's their team.

I agree. For Westbrook - abolutely YES! But, for Harden-drafts in the house - NO thank you!
