another solid night for Marcus. Just all over the box score and excellent defense. He somehow ended up -3 in plusminus but was clearly keeping us in this game.
15 points, 50%fg, 50% 3pfg, 4 steals, 3 assists, 6 rebounds.
Excellent night.
Is "single-handedly lost game for team in the last minute" a column in the stat sheet?
Please explain this post. Makes zero sense if you actually watched the game. Smart didn't even get the ball. IT and AB were playing hero ball and killing us down the stretch, Olynyk made a bad foul.
Smart did have that inbound pass that Frazier stole. Honestly, that play was stiff to begin with and Smart was about to get a 5 second violation.
Okay yes fair point on that one play, slipped my mind, but he really is not the guy to blame.
I think Bradley was really, really bad down the stretch. I love that he improved his ball handling but he is becoming a ball hog at times, pounding the ball into screen and rolls over and over again and looking people off when he is not THAT good at it as he is seeming to think. IT and AB played hero ball down the stretch and that cost us. I aim that more at Bradley than IT. IT was great really but there were some possessions where he took bad shots for sure.
Jerebko was also playing a lot down the stretch and he has been almost totally useless this year, especially on offense.
I agree Crowder and Horford help a ton but I still think there are things that need to be cleaned up. I think Smart is underused a lot of these games. He needs the ball to be effective and AB is better off ball, no matter if he has improved with the ball this year. If you gave Smart the ball and let Bradley work off ball and cut it would make for better offense.
