I replied yes. First of all, if Noel doesn't recover nicely, it all goes down. But if he becomes reliably healthy, he provides instant rebounding and rim protection, which we currently lack. Plus he has multiple years of rookie contract which is very valuable for a contender team.
I have watched Saric play here in Istanbul many times. He has insane ball handling skills for his size, and provides 3 point shooting/scoring off the bench. His problem in Europe was mainly lack of a clear role and his usage didn't allow for development. CBS can solve this, and I also believe Saric has room for development.
Laker first is unclear but let's say it will be between 10 to 20. This is, let's say, another 50/50 gamble in a solid bench guy. If we are very lucky and draft is deep, a starter.
Add to all that we will have to pay up max contract to IT soon... I love him and respect him very much, but paying max to an aging, undersized, defensively mediocre point guard; however great his offensive firepower is, is not a great prospect when it's compared to above trade. That being said, Philly wouldn't probably accept this trade.
