Jeff Van Gundy's quote from the Celtics game, with 1:02 left to play in the first quarter.

The only other thing he added was that our only weakness is rebounding.

He literally said Offensively and defensively we are Outstanding. I can't stop thinking how much Zizic will eventually help with that, Yabu hopefully as well.

TP to Danny Ainge though, he really has done well with his Operation Wolfpack theory. Thanks.

I remember that quote! He had mostly high praise for us. Obviously, his praise doesn't translate to anything on the court, but it's nice that more and more legit NBA analysts are realizing what we've got here. With that comes heightened expectations, though, so we've gotta keep working.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Oh, No doubt in my mind, L to the Bizzo, If we could fast forward about three years, Zizic will be tearing down rebounds for the Celtics.

Elite size. Standing reach, tenacity going for the Basketball. Definitely a rotation player in the NBA and hopefully a starter.

I loved the pick, I started the Forget Bender, Draft Zizic thread pre draft.

Can't believe I actually got the guy I wanted in the slot that was predicted. A rare occurrence indeed.

Only one thing is for sure: If he was on the 76ers you'd be talking as if he was a lock to be a future All Star.

For real. He would be just another example of Hinkles nrilliance.

"Will he ever even play a game for the Celtics".

What a joke.

They'll bring him over next season I think. Depends on what happens with Amir. Zizic has good potential as a garbage/dirty work rebounder/defender/scorer.
Not sure if he'll ever be starting material (it's possible given his age), but he will get a run at some point.

Right now he's a poor man's Steven Adams, but I think he's only 19 or 20 years old.
His post moves are somewhat coming together too. He's incredibly strong, problem is he beats up on much smaller guys for the most part right now. It's how he'd to against Brook Lopez and Dwight Howard types that interests me.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

The rebounding thing is just a function of playing either small, or tiny. What we lose in 2nd chance points, we make up for in slashes and opening jumpers. Very few wade/butleresque fadeaways, with Amir's weird game a notable outlier..

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

They had no choice.  Too many players because they couldn't deal off any of their picks so they had to stash a couple.  Danny has it set up so when he's ready they have flexibility with their bigs so it won't be a problem creating room for him.

In a way you are right but i think LabBrd has a point there.... Zizic gets a lot of hype here thanks to his stats. His numbers are indeed good but he plays against a lot of very very very bad teams.
