A lot of critics of drafting JB were saying he was not as good as Stanley Johnson (picked 8 by the Pistons the year before) or Justin Winslow (picked 10 by the Heat that same class).
That picking JB was a reach at 3.
I didn't respond at the time because, frankly, I did not look at much tape on those guys. I have since watched them play a few games. And I must say, for anyone to suggest that either of those two have the same level of talent, much less better, than Brown, are just flat wrong. Brown has a much better feel for the game. A much better ball handler. And nicer shooting touch. His footwork is incredibly better. He is quicker. Heck, a better passer.
He may lag a little behind Winslow defensively, but is just a much more polished player overall.
