I'll say that outside of the 3-ball, Smart looks better overall on offense. His passing looks solid, his decision making looks smarter, and even his shot from mid-range doesn't look too bad, which is what I'm hoping he'll rely on more than shooting threes. Honestly I think Smart's letting it fly just because it's pre-season.
My honest hope for smart is that he can be a Tony Allen/Michael Kidd-Gilchrist type. No, Smart is NOT those exact players to a T, but why I compare him to them is because those guys are badly needed cogs on good teams even though they may never be stars. They are menaces on defense that make their team better. That's what I think Smart will end up being, and honestly, I'm pretty happy about that.
