Green has been coming off a hip injury so his play as of late doesn't concern me. What concerns me is that he hasn't had the cleanest bill of health in the last couple seasons. The hip flexor injury is probably gonna be more chronic than the one time deal. Besides his microwave tendencies on offense, he isn't that great on defense and my main qualm with him remaining on the team is: He isn't gonna be in the top 9 that get consistent minutes. Thomas, Smart, Crowder, Bradley, Brown, Horford, Olynyk, Johnson, Jerebko, Rozier are all more likely to get more minutes. If Green can't get on the floor to score, how is he worth keeping on the team? insurance? If he is on the team, he takes away from the development of our younger talents and the few minutes that they are gonna get to increase their trade value/ basketball skills. So why keep him? just remember no one wanted him last summer until we found him in the recycle bin...
