Time to get the Cousins rumors started again lol.

The article does also mention IT's leadership roles as well and Horford's thoughts on them, and it highlights the timeline of the Kings situation with Cousins, IT's relationship overall with Cousins and the coaching changes for the Kings, etc.

And it's not just this website, but even sites like MassLive and NESN have reported on this, and Bill Simmons on CSNNE talked about Cousins, although he doesn't see Boston going after Cousins at all. What do you guys think? It's a pretty good article honestly that highlights the situations pretty well (for both sides).

I think the Kings front office is such a mess, and getting worse, that they will end up losing Cousins for nothing eventually.

If we are trading for Cousins they are going to be demanding a lot for him

They will want at least one if not two of these 3 players

Brown/Smart/Crowder

+ filler players
+ 2 first round picks (probably will demand at least either the swap or the Nets pick next year)

I am unsure if I want to part with either of the 3, it's hard to find a bulldog players that can change the end game with Smart and Crowder's defense.

I'd probably still make that trade at the end cuz [dang], IT/Horford/Cousins is a [dang] good trio

Same, in fact the Kings (unless they are miraculously a top-5 team in the West this season) need to trade Cousins at the deadline when his value will be the highest. Otherwise it will be like the Westbrook case where no team is willing to give up a lot for a "rental". (Yes it worked out for Westbrook and OKC at the end with the extension, but that's not the point)

Cousins with 1.5 years left is more appealing than as a 1 year rental, especially for a Boston team looking for a deep postseason run and that "missing piece".

True but in 2018, Bradley, IT and Smart are all free agents. Don't see them keeping all three. Maybe Smart gets dealt before then to keep IT at least and hopefully Cousins IF (big if) they do end up trading for him.

Don't like the look of that suggested trade.  If Cousins shoots his way out of town, I don't think Sacramento will be able to get a King's ransom in return...

I would be fine with a Smart, Brown and two (non-Nets) 1st round picks plus the filler salary (which from the Celtics means a player with actual trade value as a follow up move)  for Cousins

Take a hit on depth, but there should be players on the Celtics team that can step up (Rozier and Green) to fill in.

Okafor would cost a hell of a lot less than Cousins and IMO acquiring Okafor would create more value than acquiring Cousins.

With Embiid doing so well and the eventual return of Simmons. I could see a simple trade based around:

Smart
4
Okafor

We could throw in RJ too(instead of cutting him)

This way we get to keep all those assets and we get a player that IMO is extremely undervalued both offensively and defensively.

If we acquire Cousins, we're all in. If we're all in, Jae has to be on this team.

LOL Okafor is undervalued defensively for a reason -- he sucks at it.  Talk about matador defense, you look it up in the dictionary and you get Okafor's face.

Kings have to have an itchy finger given how Smart and Brown look this preseason.
