Getting heaps of minutes against GSW here.. looks truly lost on the offensive end. Lakers running really ugly looking sets though. Compare that with Jaylen, who looks good at the scoring end.

I'm starting to really believe that Stevens is a seriously valuable asset.

I'm glad that the Lakers are playing him off the bench. Takes pressure off him.

I guess it'll be a few seasons before he can be fairly judged but this is still good news.

No kidding. Ingram is a good shooter, and that seems to be about it. Tayshaun Prince with the #2 pick. JB looks like he can be an effective two way player that has crazy athleticism, and needs work on his 3pt shot. Ingram has way more weaknesses. I'm not 100% sold that Simmons is going to be a better pro than JB, though that may be a stretch.

I'm starting to think Ingram's rookie year might be like Dante Exum's. Very, VERY raw.

I always find it funny when Cs fans say "give him time" or "he's still young" when it's a Cs but call other guys busts or overrated after SL or first preseasons into their career.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

If Ingram is KD, then you may be right.

When I look at him, I see a skinny dude that will need years of physical development before he can dominate. I don't think he has KD's skill set. I may be wrong. My eyes show me Tayshaun, a good, not great player. I'm not convinced that Ingram has Tayshaun's defense either.

He'll be perfectly fine. I said this in another thread like 15 minutes ago lol. The lakers did not draft Ingram to be a day 1 contributor, nor are they structuring their offense for him to be a go to star right away. It takes time. He's thin, he's young. He's not NBA ready yet, but he still has a ton of potential, on both offense and defense (he's already shown some flashes of his defensive potential this preseason with his length and wingspan).

Don't act like you would have said "oh man, I wish we took Brown" if we had the second pick and took Ingram.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Didn't mention anyone at all, just stating that maybe we shouldn't be judging the guy too fast, kinda how we don't with Cs.

I'm confused you'd find that unusual.  Isn't that what every team's fandom does?  Your own bust needs time;  theirs is a bust.

So, let me get this straight. We're making fun of the Lakers because they have a 19 year old #2 pick who was so lost on offense that he managed a 50% shooting night for 12 points in 26 minutes? Is that what we're celebrating?

Sure people do it but that doesn't change that is a weird thing to do. We aren't talking about after year two, this is after a handful of preseason games.

I'm as confused as you.
