“I would love to do that,” Pierce told SiriusXM NBA Radio (h/t to ESPNBoston.com’s Chris Forsberg). “I think I’ll always be remembered as a Celtic. I had all my glory days, all my prime was pretty much as a Boston Celtic. I think I owe the fans and I owe myself that much, just to be able to put that uniform on one more time and go out that way, say I retired a Boston Celtic.”
Hopefully the Clippers implode and end up just trading Pierce to us by the trade deadline to give him a bit of a farewell tour with the C's.
he deserves a farewell tour!

I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

That and Doc, who basically will let Pierce do what he wants.
So does he actually want to play another year after this or is he just talking a ceremonial retirement, one-day contract type of thing? In the latter case, no need to trade for him. Just let the season end and sign and retire.

Paul said it best—he hopes he gets to WEAR the uniform one more time .. as in put it on and play games in it, not just sign a one-day deal and hold up his jersey at a press conference.

He said just 'wear', not play.Does he even want a farewell tour? Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett opted out of that with the timing on their announcements. I don't know what Paul would prefer.
