I had all my glory days, all my prime was pretty much as a Boston Celtic. I think I owe the fans and I owe myself that much, just to be able to put that uniform on one more time and go out that way, say I retired a Boston Celtic.”

His house is in LA though, I'm pretty sure that's why he stuck with them after he left the Wizards. That and Doc, who basically will let Pierce do what he wants.

I wonder if Pierce knew we were getting Horford and was a free agent he would have preferred to sign with us. He probably would be more useful for us than Green.

This would be fantastic. Paul said it best—he hopes he gets to WEAR the uniform one more time .. as in put it on and play games in it, not just sign a one-day deal and hold up his jersey at a press conference.

I interpret that the opposite way.  He said just 'wear', not play.

Does he even want a farewell tour?  Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett opted out of that with the timing on their announcements.  I don't know what Paul would prefer.
