Hopefully the Clippers implode and end up just trading Pierce to us by the trade deadline to give him a bit of a farewell tour with the C's.

This would be fantastic. Paul said it best—he hopes he gets to WEAR the uniform one more time .. as in put it on and play games in it, not just sign a one-day deal and hold up his jersey at a press conference.
I interpret that the opposite way.  He said just 'wear', not play.

Does he even want a farewell tour?  Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett opted out of that with the timing on their announcements.  I don't know what Paul would prefer.

Farewell tours suck.

yeah and i dont think pierce is the kind to really get a "farewell" everywhere. with someone like Kobe, he'd literally destroyed every team he'd played at some point in his career. He's the only player to have scored 40 against every team. he had history with them. Pierce? i love the guy, but he's not kobe-level in terms of league-wide appreciation (despite what the green-glasses guys wanna tell me).
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about
