Yeah. I get that he has tons of potential but this just seems ridiculous to me
I'm bitter.

Under the new landscape, I think this is a pretty solid deal for Milwaukee.

Let's also not forget that this kid won't even be 22 until December.

See, see! You all were wrong!  If Danny had drafted him over Olynyk, the C's wouldn't have had any cap room to sign free agents next summer!  Just another example of how ya'll are playing checkers, thinking short term wanting to draft Giannis, while Danny's playing chess, making moves that are thinking several steps ahead.

 ;D

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

I'm surprised his agent caved on a non-max deal.

Performance/injury-risk plus risk that a CBA renegotiation alters the max salary downwards, would be my guess.  He got about 95% of the max.  Also it wouldn't surprise me if he got a large signing bonus.  It could be up to $15 million, which would be nearly double Giannis' career earnings to date.  It's not insane to not hold out for every last penny.

That's our best small ball five if he was drafted here. Still not that great.

The report is, Giannis is taking less than max so that the Bucks have some room next summer still
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

He's another one of those guys everyone assumes is going to make major leaps.  Could be a huge year for him, though.  He had a solid year and he's only 21.

In 28 post-allstar games:  18.8 points, 8.6 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 1.9 blocks, 1.4 steals with 51% shooting.... pretty awesome.

Maybe not great, but this would be very good in the East. IMO, people nitpick moves by Ainge, but this one hasn't gotten enough air time. The Greek Freak was there for the taking, and the Celtics traded up to get a goofy looking big with a limited ceiling. If the Celtics drafted Giannis, they could have already traded for a superstar.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

Has he helped the bucks into the playoffs?

Ind stats are overrated. Just look at cousins, melo anthony stats the past few seasons..
