This is not happening of course, but if things some how get crazy In G.S. and they put Klay on the market would you do it.

It would be insane for the Warrior's to add two top five picks possibly to Curry, Durant, Green.

For us we would be Fierce right now.

 Imagine

 Horford
 Amir
 Crowder
 Thompson
 Thomas

With Smart, Brown, Kelly that's a top three 8 mam rotation in the NBA.

No, he's not worth both Brooklyn picks AND Bradley. And Bradley is the real prize for them anyways due to being about as perfect of a fit for them as possible, let alone the defensive pressure that he'd put on the Irvings, Pauls, and Westbrooks of the world in order for Curry to rest on D.

However, I'd probably do something like Bradley, JJ, and the 2018 Brooklyn pick for him, which is about the least it would take to get him.

I mean at the time this trade would happen you would probably have a good idea if the Brooklyn pick was top 3. If it is the number 1 overall pick in a loaded draft that could be enough for Thompson

I would probably do either:

1) BRK 2017 + BRK 2018 or
2) Bradley + BRK 2018

I don't think I'd do all three, that be too much.

Honestly I would much rather include Crowder in that trade rather then Bradley though.  Not that Crowder is a lesser player, simply because of fit.

Having Thomas/Bradley/Thompson/Horford on the court at the same time would be one of the deadliest shooting lineups in the NBA, and would remain pretty good defensively too.

Crowder gives you the D, but he's yet to convince me that he can be a consistent offensive threat from the perimeter.  One solid shooting / scoring season among a career of offensive mediocrity just isn't enough to leave me convinced.  Bradley on the other hand has been a quality shooter / scorer and defender for the l the last few years, so you know what you're getting from him on both ends of the court.  I really think his ability to stretch the floor is a huge key for us.

Definitely wouldn't give up both Brooklyn picks for him and frankly would not give up the 2017 pick at all.

Thompson is a great shooter and a solid defender (though is far from a great defender), but isn't much of a rebounder, passer, or ball handler.  He takes over 17 shots a game but gets to the line less than 3 times a game.  Because of all that, I'm not sure he can or should be a #1 scoring option and I don't think he is a great fit with Thomas for those reasons.  Absolutely would love to have him, but you don't give up multiple tier 1 assets for a guy that isn't a tier 1 player.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

As others have said,bThompson isnt worth that package. He also doesnt move the needle enough to make us contenders. Only a players that do that with this current team would be Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant and Lebron. Those are the only players in the league I would give up those picks for

Not for the two Brooklyn picks.

Avery - 2018 Brooklyn pick and two more first rounders coming from our own. We gotta atleast reap the benefits of one Brooklyn pick.

Would love to have Klay, and he's someone I'd be willing to overpay. Locked up long term, only 25 and has shown he's capable of being the number 1 option in the Playoffs when Steph was hurt.

But leave us atleast one Nets pick to bask into.

You can't be serious.

Bradley isn't worth the Nets upcoming pick so I don't see that option being a thing.

Crowder is a better fit than Avery if we acquired Thompson because they would start alongside each other. Trade Crowder and Avery moves to the bench and we start a rookie at the 3. Crowder also has more value for small ball lineups, since he can play the 4. IT/AB/Smart/Klay can't share the floor because none of them can defend the 4.

I don't see why GS would make this deal when Thompson is on a good deal and is a good defender. If Klay had major holes in his game, maybe. But he doesn't, and GS is all in for a title.

In a heart beat.  But the Warriors wouldn't do it unless they were pinned in a corner.

Thompson is an MVP candidate in waiting and honestly, I would take him over Curry.

Too much for Thompson.  probably would do AB and Nets 2018 with the expectation that the Nets pick that year is still lottery but they have another season and offseason in which to improve a bit.  (moving Lopez for a couple of mid-first rounders would not be surprising or a late-lottery with another first).

AB isn't inept as a shooter but he's much better on D than Klay.  That 2018 pick should more than make up for the talent and contractual differences between those 2 players.  question becomes who else has to go out with AB to balance the salaries in the deal

Amir + AB would work.  And GS could probably use the extra big, now that Bogut has left.

Those two, plus the 18' BKL pick seems reasonable.

much better on D based on what? Bradley has a better DBPM and a slightly better performance at steals, that's all.

More generally about this thread, there is no doubt Thompson is the better overall player of the two, and that GSW has little interest in either trading Thompson or developing draft picks. I really do not see the point of this conversation.

Yeah seriously.  I love AB's defense but one could make an argument that Thompson is the better defender.  Dude can defend and is bigger than AB, thus can defend a wider range of players.
