You're saying that Demarcus Cousins is not a Larry Bird caliber talent. I'm telling your right now that he's got the potential to be
better.
People keep on forgetting that Demarcus Cousins is not only putting up some all time great worthy numbers - he's doing it in a pretty modest number of minutes, at the age of 25, and he's getting better EVERY year.
Larry Bird didn't start putting up monster numbers until he was around 28 years old. Can you IMAGINE the type of numbers Cousins could be putting up by the time he reaches that age?
No, he doesn't have Larry Bird's intangibles. He's not the type of competitor or leader that Bird was, that's obvious and doesn't even need to be said. But as a pure talent Cousins is on a whole other level when compared against just about anybody not names Russell Westbrook or Lebron James.
IF this kid ever gets his head screwed on right, it's frightening how good he could be. He could be the best player in the NBA 2-3 years from now...he genuinely has that type of potential.
