I was wondering if anyone on here has had an opportunity to sit down with this game yet.
I have played roughly 5-6 hours of it so far (off of school, and didn't have to work the day it came out) and honestly I can say I am a huge fan.
There is something just so relaxing about exploring an infinitely (well technically its like 18 quintillion planets) large procedurally generated universe and coming across new and exciting things.
The first time you get in a ship, and ascend through the heavens out into your local system, all without any type of loading screen, I was blown away. It honestly felt like a masterpiece. Everything in the game is so fluid. The procedurally generated animals and plants are done in a way that every new planet feels very unique. It is just an added bonus that you can name anything if you are the one to discover it.
If you want to be an explorer lost along the seas of the stars, slowly working your way towards the center of the universe, this game is definitely worth a pickup.
P.S - I can see some people who would be disappointed because they had the wrong impression about what the game is going to be. If people thought this was going to be infinite Destiny, they will hate it. It does have gun fighting and very well done space fights (difficult until you get the hang of it.)
