I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

He could develop into a guy like Jimmy BUtler in like 5 years, but it's going to take him a long time.

Idk man, Jimmy didn't have that ability to get to the rim at will coming into the league. Brown does, with much better athleticism.

That ability to get to the rack constantly is going to be the backbone of his career. I think he gives us over 21 PPG at some point. Kids a stud.

Eh, 16ppg.

What's the big deal?

Maybe if he ends up on a crappy Sixer-like 10 win team he'll be a high scorer, but why are people assuming otherwise?
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I mean, nothing has shown me he's a Jeff Green level scorer, and he maxed out at 16-17ppg..... (at like 37mpg)

Everyone in this thread is crazy, lol.

What makes you guys think this kid is an elite (20+) scorer?

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
Realistically I can see him averaging 18 PPG with solid rebounding numbers, and 2-3 APG.

Hopefully he can average 20+, because of his athleticism and penchant for getting to the line, but I'm not that overly optimistic.

You know, there's something called the edit button. You could have made this all one big nice post

And what makes them crazy? Clearly, you're not a fan of his game or the pick. Why are the people who liked the pick, and who like his game, "crazy" to you? Is it because they have a different opinion than yours?

Gotta have high hopes for your #3 pick, regardless of the strength of the draft. You'll otherwise miss all the fun in this. I'd be happy with an Iguodala-type career.

16.8

I think the Celtics will be smart enough to surround Jaylen with better shooters and creators than he is, but his ability to get to the Free Throw line will get him up to 16.8 PPG at some point.
