Ray Allen now considering us on his possible comeback to the NBA

Completely agree with the first part.  That would be awesome.  But he's not going to teach anyone how to shoot.

I hope Ainge isn't thinking of bringing him back.  What does he have, a year or two at the most?  Pass.  Unless, Ainge signs him to a team friendly deal and then traded him to Sactown, or the Sixers.

Some of you folks are still bitter about how he left and that he signed with the Heat. 

But a few things to consider  1.  Rondo made things uncomfortable between them and for everyone else.   Someone should have forced them to reconcile but nobody did. Which is a pity

2.  There were constant trade rumors swirling around Ray Allen.  He prob didn't appreciate it.  One reason could have been due to the issue with Rondo. And the org was more on moving fwd with Rondo  (which made sense, especially financially)

3. The heat apparently pushed hard for him to join. And he wanted to to win another ring. What Ray Allen is, is a winner.   i personally don't like that he went to the Heat and truly believe he didn't do it intentional to get back at the Celts org.  Just happened to be the team that gave him the best chance to get another ring.   

4.  He  contributed so much to the community.  Ray Allen foundation this, Ray allen foundation that.  He gave back to the community like very few players are able to.  It's not just about donating money

5.  He could easily go and sign with the Cavs or GSW or Spurs but is choosing between Bucks or Celtics.  It's up to which team wants him more

6. Having a Ray Allen  (even though he plays only like 10 mins a game , or every other game) could make a difference between getting past the 1st round or not.    I'm sure he is still in tremendous condition and still shoot better than 80 percent of the players in the league

Depends on how the personnel chips fall...if it's a choice between Ray Allen or James Young on the roster, then I believe that Ray would be the better choice.

If we make a trade which opens up another slot (a 2 for 1 deal of some kind), that would be ok also.

If Cleveland can forgive Lebron, Boston should be ready to welcome back Ray.  If not, then the Boston fans would be guilty of not being able to do something that the Cleveland fans could...and that would be a horrifying thought!

I have no idea who this Ray Allen guy is but I'm gathering from context he is old, and has been out of basketball for some time. So who do we cut for him? Who does he defend better than? This team has like 18 contracts on hand. Whoever he is if he's serious about it have him start with the Red Claws and show he can still play and then call him up. If he can't do that then take a hike. This is a team with championship aspirations in the year 2016. It's not some geezer's ring collection party.

Unless a trade happens, I don't see where Ray Allen would fit. Maybe to be a mentor to guys and help them develop some shooting and work ethic? I don't know.
