I wouldn't do this. If we need to choose between defensively-weak 7-footers, I'd rather have the one that has been in the system, can shoot 3-pointers at a 40%+ clip, and hasn't been caught fighting people in bars or going 100 mph over a bridge.
I disagree. KO is old man river compared to the rookie Okafor.
Okafor has 9 more inches on his wingspan and his current value around the league does not come close to his actual value.
KO and the other big's this year in the draft of 2015 had bodies that were advantageous to them as ROOKIES. Okafor and other big men that have possesed his length and size always struggle defensively their rookie years. But Okafor had Noel and no other scorers nor shooters on his team and was asked to play too many minutes in total and in a row.
He has the ability and bbiq to defend the 5 extremely well and shoot the ball and get in better condition....especially if he is in a dif system than Philly which wore him down.
Be happy his value and situation has deemed his value so low because IMO he is actually the most underappreciated asset in the entire NBA.
