Lots of trade rumors lately...think Danny gives up JB?

Understandably, it's Summer League, but this kid won me over from "Meh, not bad, would have rather traded that pick" to "don't deal him for now" status. This kid has TONS of potential and he understands that and wants to get there. Do you suspect Danny gives him up right away in say a Cousins or Griffin type trade? This could be our best SF since Pierce for all we know.

Who knows.  Ainge was trying to trade Rondo from the moment that he acquired him on draft night, lol ;D. As long as he's in charge I can't see why any of our players would live anywhere other than a hotel with an emergency bag packed so that they're ready to go at any time, ahahaha ;D.

You never know.

But if you want to trade a pick the best time is after the pick order is determined and before the pick selection is made.

Different teams would have made different choices with that #3.

If (that's a big if) Ainge intends to trade Brown it would make a lot more sense to let him play some NBA games first to convince other teams of his value.

This.  Jaylene Brown is useless to other teams, and I won't blame teams for not wanting him.  So, yea, we are stuck with him.

I'm thinking he will stick around mostly because I think DA values him more then most others do. Unless he thinks he's getting equal value for him he won't trade him.

This.  Jaylene Brown is useless to other teams, and I won't blame teams for not wanting him.  So, yea, we are stuck with him.

LOL  . . . . . you still haven't forgiven Danny for not trading on draft night.

The alleged rumors were just that.   Bulpett said no trade talks, he is connected.   I think all those rumors were just guys trying to drum up business for clicks on their websites, etc.

For Cousins or Westbrook (assuming they agree to sign longer terms) absolutely; I'm not a big fan of Griffen so not sure on him.  It's just the summer league; plenty of guys do well in summer and even D league but can't break into the NBA.  JB is showing potential sure.  But you only get 2-2.5 perennial all star quality players on average per draft.  From time to time you'll have those standup out consensus first overall picks, but outside of that, odds are really stacked against everyone else being the next Cousins or Westbrook impact type player.

People will wish they had traded for him now, while his value is low and potential is high.  If he has the career that some have speculated, we will be glad we didn't trade him on draft night either.

Or he could be Fab 2.0.

I wouldn't say Browns floor is Fab. Brown's a smart guy with good work ethic. So his floor will be journey man at worst with a 10+ year career out side of injury.  Fab was out of the league in a couple years because he had the brain cells of a cucumber.
