I love the way this summer has panned out so far. Brown continues to improve every summer league game, could potentially develop into a beast if he gets his stroke down( his ft% is unacceptable though). Landed an All-Star free agent at our greatest positional need, that fits the scheme perfectly.   Essentially moved Rondo (couldn't stand his attitude though talented), KG, and Pierce and now has put the organization in a potential position to turn that into a player of the likes of: Blake/Westbrook/Cousins.  Additionally the 2017 draft is looking incredibly strong and deep, with a great chance of being a top 3 again. Now tells  teams to go pound sand when the want to include that in a package=power position

Kudos to DA.

I do this trade all day. Though as stated Bradley would be more ideal.

Don't forget DA did this all without tanking. By not tanking and hiring a coach like Brad Stevens, it helped our reputation tremendously in terms of potentially attracting free agents.

What do we do about the huge hole at SF if this happens?  What happens when we play the Cavs, the Warriors, the Pacers, the Raptors or the Spurs.....?  SF is the position that every team we'd have to get by is strongest at and we'd great a huge hole there that we wouldn't be able to fill.  I don't think we'd be considerably more competitive in the playoffs without an elite defensive SF.  I know that Blake is a much better player than Crowder, but we're not winning a championship with him if we don't have an SF.  We're just not.

Ever heard of Jaylen Brown?  Acquiring a 3 and D small forward is going to be a lot cheaper than trying to acquire an all-star talent like Blake Griffin.  It's not a disaster to lose Crowder, but certainly he will be missed.  He was a good player for us.

From what I'm reading though, this Blake Griffin trade is just a cloud of smoke.  Hearing reports, that there have been no discussions recently between Celtics and Clips over Griffin.
