It's all smoke and mirrors.
Danny is waiting for Philly to cave.
He will wait until the end of training camp if necessary.

I have never seen Ainge as a wait for just one guy GM.   I have no doubt he is working on multiple teams with the hope of being successful with just one.

No doubt.
But Philly will cave in the end, and we won't have to trade the Brooklyn picks.

Why on earth would New Orleans move Davis when they just signed him?

There's less than zero chance Davis ends up in Boston. Ever.

Because this is CB - an alternate dimension where anybody and everybody wants to come to Boston, and where opposing teams do not value players with top 10 talent.

The Nets picks have been priced out of the Okafor market. The 18 pick will likely go in a Griffin deal--if it happens. The 17 pick could eventually go in a Westbrook deal--you never know.
It does not appear that Chris Paul is going anywhere--based on our friendly moles on the tweets.

Consider this smoke.

We don't have room on our roster but we have "reached out" to Budinger.

And

Yabusele may or may not be on the roster... depends on a trade.

That's plenty of smoke. We have roster moves that are clearly dependant on whether or not we make a trade.

Therefore............

We desperately need outside shooters.  And Yabu will get a longer look at making the roster b/c he can play.  Brad likes his guys competing for their roles, not them being predetermined.

Seems more likely than us being the verge of trading for Anthony Davis, to me at least.

Hopefully I'm wrong.   Happens often so there is still hope

These decisions would be easy to make if we weren't trying to make a trade. They are still in limbo though.

When's the last time a trade you heard leaked through the media actually became true?  There are going to be some exceptions, such as trade deadline approaching and team moving a guy who isn't going to re-sign; or player X being adamant about going to team Y (*cough* carm *cough* elo).

When a trade is being discussed, only a small group know.  And let's see do you think league GM's or player agents or coaches or owners are tweeting status updates?  Since so few people are in the know, it's wouldn't be too difficult to determine who leaked and you'd lose your credibility.

The Yabusele and Budinger rumors are proof that we have something in the works

I think people are missing the point.  Yes, very unlikely, virtually zero chance that Davis is traded to the Celtics.

So that tells you what the poster thinks of the chances that we end up with all the names that have been thrown out there already.

Yes, thank you. TP
