All the silly lionization on this board of Woj, and he let it rip right down his leg on Horford.

People start considering Bulpett an oracle, and the same thing is going to happen.

Remember who told you first.

Not you.

You were already on my "scared of the truth" list.

Obvious now why Ainge moved those two seconds for that future clips pick. Negotiations have obviously been ongoing for a while and due to the Stepien rule that clips pick holds more value to doc and lac than anyone else.

Good spot.  Well done.

So what you're saying is THE pick that we may very well have to deal will just be LAC's own pick? If this happens, Ainge is a genius.

People often forget that in the 2007 KG trade Ainge traded the Wolves' 2008 pick back to them as part of the deal. That pick turned into #3 (OJ Mayo was selected and then immediately traded for #5 Kevin Love), and so that pick was FAR more valuable to them than it was to us.

FWIW Deadmik3 on twitter at 1:12 pm  says deal for Griffin is Bradley, Johnson and Nets '18 pick. "Announcement soon."

Straight up? No Sac involvement? I think that's a fair deal. It's essentially what people were saying for Love + a Nets pick. One thing is though, with the talk about why we got the Clippers pick would that not be involved?

I kinda believe this guy. I don't know.

Look at his last five or so tweets. He says Kings are indirectly coming into play, but not a three team trade.

CSN's Jimmy Stewart - " I have my sources."

Dickerson - "why not share it with the class?"

Stewart- "I like the celtics chance s of getting blake griffin"

Dickerson - " so you are going to say that and not share it completely?"

Stewart - "The celtics are getting blake grffin"

I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Jimmy Stewart on 98.5 said he thinks the Celtics are going to get Griffin and was reticent about revealing much more.

I could see Doc liking Bradley, but on its own without Sacramento this doesn't make sense. Maybe if it was something like this:

Boston: Griffin

Sacramento: Amir, some non-Brooklyn future pick

LAC: Gay, Bradley, Brooklyn 2018 pick.

They could then go small with Paul, Bradley, Reddick, Gay, and DJ. That certainly matches up better with GS, but I just do t think that's enough to overtake them.

But even though I'm not a huge Griffin fan, that seems like a no-brainer deal for us to do to me.

According to Bulpett

Quote
The Boston Celtics remain open to major moves and have expressed interest in Blake Griffin and Russell Westbrook in the past, but there have been no discussions regarding either player in quite some time, according to sources.

I'd probably listen to this Bulpett guy, but that's just me.  ;)
On the other hand, legitimate front-office sources -- like the ones Bulpett has access to -- are probably more likely to not spill the beans on something like this. We'll see.
With Bulpett I know with 100% certainty that he got his information from the Celtics. My issue is that he seems to squash trade rumors as soon as they gain any traction. To me it feels like every time a rumor gets out the Celtics go to him and tell him to write a piece squashing the rumor.

So while I do trust that he was told what he reports, I think he is reporting what the team told him rather than the truth. I think FOs don't leak rumors unless they have something to gain in doing so

Bulpett and others in the mainstream have a vested interest in keeping their mouths shut until teams are ready to disclose something. He'll put a stamp on a deal when the team tells him he can. The free lancers can print or say anything.

I want to see the full "Scared of the truth.txt." list Coach Bo.  I hope I am in the top 5 at least.

And wasn't Doc a supposed fan of Gay when he was in Boston?

Let me guess: There's one guy on the "not scared of the truth" list.  His name starts with B.
Nah, with "Coach".

Blake is coming here.  It's quiet because details are still be ing worked out and Danny doesn't want to give up anything more than he has to.  The media can't be trusted. If it falls through there is really no reason to let it leak.  It does anyways.  It just puts pressure on the celtics to make the deal and other teams can use that against us.

I'm pretty sure that isn't true. The pick we gave them was used on Johnny Flynn in the 2009 draft at the 6th pick.

People complain that we only got KG because McHale and Ainge were friends. Had the Wolves not screwed up the draft and picked Steph Curry, no one can make that complaint.

What is he going to say, "I read Twitter too"?

Also, Stewart and Lipshatz are guys who screen calls and run boards at 98.5. I could almost believe that Mike at Lexus of Watertown knows more than them.
