Anyone remember Mike James? He was kind of a scrub but for some reason he was a terrific clutch shooter.
Mike James averaged 20ppg one season. Somehow, this only netted him a MLE contract.

Poor guy.  Victim of the wrong era.  If he was a FA right now, he'd be getting offered 4 years/$72 million.

Yeah. He could score, though. I think there is a small something in Rozier's offensive game that reminds me of James.

Completely aside from the clutchest ever argument, Marcus Smart is a pretty clutch player. Has a penchant for big plays. Its a big part of the reason I hope he stops sucking ass at offense because if he was just a solid offensive player his knack for big plays and defense would make him so valuable.

When it came to basketball the one guy who always ruined my day in close games against the Celtics was Reggie Miller. I hated how clutch he was when Indy needed a big bucket late in the shot clock.

Of course I have 0 stats to back this up just my memories as a C's fan over the years.
ok fine

What?  Oh ... wrong sport?
Roids.

I was just coming here to post nearly the exact same thing, lol! TP. He's so clutch that he saved the greatest season of his Hall of Fame career for his finale as a 40-year-old. Comes through late in a game, late in a season, and late in a career. Epic, clutchness-proving clutchness.

Ray Allen. I've never felt more comfortable about the end of games that when I saw him getting an open (or relatively open) shot.

[dang], I didn't remember James having a 20ppg season. It just seemed like he was always hitting clutch shots, even when he wasn't playing big minutes.

Also, whenI search "Mike James" on basketball reference, the first hit is Mike Scott. Mike James comes up second. Mike James is so inconsequential to the history of basketball, if I type in his name exactly, the seach engine still assumes I was thinking of someone else.

Bird is the most clutch.

In the words of Pat Riley... If he had to choose someone to make a shot to win a game, Jordan.  If he had to choose someone to make a shot to save his life, Bird.

Yes it is Bird!  Not just shots but there are only 2 clutch steals that are played over and over--Havlicek stole the ball and Bird intercepting Isiah and finding DJ for the win!

the #4 greatest playoff moment ever.

Funny--yeah, Marcus plays like dog poop all game--Then hits like three 3-pointers in a row.
