MR. "I am going to tell you where I am going to shoot the game winner in your face at" Larry Legend..

Back when defenders could Mug, close line, gut punch and body slam you.. Back when you played with a bloody mouth through most of the game..  Back when shooting a bo was considered good defense..

Back when good defenders were allowed to play good defense..

In the Clutch.. Clock on nothing and the game is on the line.

Larry Bird , Jordan..
Anything after Jordan to me is garbage because the league has done everything in their power to cripple good defenders..

How is horry, bryant garbage?

Horry was never the Focal point - he was the guy who got the kick out, never the focal point..  YES he hit the shots But he was no Bird or Jordan or Ray Allen for that matter.

I have much respect for Bryant but the Era of basketball was changing. The league starting favoring scoring.. It wasnt fully where it is today but it was starting..

Horry man. Dude won game 7s for teams he didn't even played for. Strangest career I've ever seen. Mediocre until it's time to close in the biggest moments of everyone's career, and hey, no problem -- Robert Horry!

Paul Pierce was pretty clutch folks.   Guy has ice running for his veins, not as well known or lauded as the others but he was  just if not more clutch.   Dennis Johnson comes to mind as well.

I was wondering if anyone was going to take mine.  DJ.   The thing about DJ is that he was not a great shooter. BUT, when everything was on the line, DJ ALWAYS made the right play and seemed to always hit the clutch shot or make the clutch FTs.   "Bird stole the ball" would have meant nothing if an alert DJ hadn't gone to the hoop and finished the play.

It's got to be Jordan, right? I can't remember him ever modding a big one ( I'm sure it happened).

TP - I have to agree with this one.  He's in the HoF exclusively because he's so clutch.  Nobody else will likely ever do that again.

He's not in the HOF but he is probably the most clutch in modern history, especially contrasted with his skill set.

I remember there was a crazy streak of like 8 straight years where either Robert Horry or Steve Kerr won a ring.

First guy that came to mind was Paul Pierce.  The shot on Harrington was ridiculously awesome.  Game 7 in '08 when he went head to head with LeBron in the 4th was crazy.  The guy is still hitting clutch shots well into his 30's ("I called game").  Horry hit shots, but you can't compare him to somebody who is creating his own shot and has a defender draped all over him, knowing he's going to shoot it.

Ray is another guy.  He made a LOT of shots, but he REALLY made them when they counted.

Both of them are miles ahead of Kobe in terms of clutchness if you ask me.  Jordan and Bird as well.  Curry might be a better shooter than all of them, but they just had something inside them that made them so much better when it really mattered.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

It is IMO because they are alpha males who in most cases probably have hypercompetition and egocentrism (Kobe & Jordan especially)...this is something I think Curry lacks.

Clearly the two best are Jordan and Bird.  After that I have Reggie Miller, Kobe, Ray Allen and LeBron.
