Dumbest thread ever.

I just thought it was a thread that spiralled into that lol.  I have an issue with posturing people in general though.  A good one but still. There is so much of that nowadays in general.  It's pathetic.

We had the 2nd best chance at Durant in 07.  Memphis had the worst record. 

Also past lottery results have 0 impact on future outcomes, so there's that.

hey look people talking about nothing again.  I think it's neither positivity or negativity.  People in general have gone down the tubes don't know how to be people anymore. The amount of stupidity out there is nauseating.

I can't put my finger on it, but the situation reminds me of the Galadriel line from TLOTR, "The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was is lost, for none now live who remember it."

This is a silly statement to make in response to people complaining about men putting a leather ball through a steel hoop, but it is broader than that. There is something wrong. Reason and evidence are ignored, or more often feigned, to support feelings and emotion. Insult replaces argument.

Perhaps people have always been this way, and I'm just noticing it more as I age.

It's changed. People used to be more personable and not have silly agendas as much as they do now?  I agree it probably was al ways this way in ways though just peoples true colors have come out more and more. I'll talk about anything.  I don't care.  I don't care what people say I should be or shouldn't be either.  There is so much nonsense out there who are they to say. People are insecure.

This board is better than others at just letting people speak. Some boards I can't even go on without someone having an agenda.  The truth isn't always what people will lead you to believe either.

It's changed. Agendas and insecurity are a major part of it. I'm worried about what will happen as we understand the other causes in the coming years. You're right, the truth often isn't what people lead you to believe.

I don't know the other boards very well. I thought this was the best one a decade ago and have been stopping in for news ever since. There are enough good people around that the first few pages in a thread are usually good, until it devolves.

Pretty sure no one around here has taken kindly into demands of others.  You've been around these boards long enough to know that.  And you've certainly been around here long enough to know that posters here have always ranged the spectrum of optimism to pessimism and its something the staff hasn't suppressed as long as the posting rules are being followed.

Good sir, agree to disagree. Listening to old has-beens or never-could-of-beens complain incessantly about professional sports management is annoying.

Carefully selected anecdotes such as "so I was watching Jaylen Brown and he missed a shot so this guy sucks and Marcus Smart flopped so I don't like him either" are annoying.

Taking a negative view point just to be a curmudgeon is annoying.
