1997 2nd best chance in landing Tim Duncan ..fail

2007 Best chance in landing Durant ..fail

2017.....

and if you want to consider Bias even though he was 86 but then Reggie Lewis was the 87 pick who played a great career and was my favorite Celtic of all time but career was cut short..

trade the pick!!!!!!

Was '07 really a curse in retrospect?  Look what "failure" ended up leading to just over a year later.

That one was a blessing in disguise if you ask me.

WHY IS EVERYTHING ALWAYS NEGATIVE? I LOVE THE CELTICS MORE THAN ANYTHING BUT COMING TO THIS SITE HAS LOST ITS FUN BECAUSE EVERYONE HAS A NEGATIVE THOUGHT PROCESS AND MINDSET TO EVERYTHING.

10 YEAR CURSE? GIVE ME A BREAK. IF YOU BELIEVE IN CURSES YOU ARE WEAK IN THE MIND.

SICK OF THIS NEGATIVE CRAP.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Jeez, calm your emotional-happy-go-luck behind down.  Everything is not sunshines and rainbows.  It's ironic that someone who can't handle reality (negativity in his mind) is calling someone weak in the mind.  Not to say that I believe in any curse but all-the-time-positivity people are just as annoying if not more so.

I always said when I left the Celtics, I could not go to heaven, because that would
be a step down. I am pure 100 percent Celtic. I think if you slashed my wrists, my
blood would’ve been green.  -  Bill "Greatest of All Time" Russell

It seemed like we were cursed not getting Tim Duncan in 1997, but that theory flew out the window when Paul Pierce was drafted the following year at #10.

Bias and Lewis dying young seemed like a curse, but sometimes life is simply unfair. It's part of being human. No one gets out of here alive.

I do agree that this board is not as good as it could be. There are some people who seem to live here. It feels like the majority of those posters are extremely negative. One of them claimed Brooklyn would win 35-40 games and that we'd end up with a late lottery pick or just outside of it. You can't escape that poster. He never goes away. He is everywhere as if he owns this blog.

The attacks on Danny Ainge and his drafting ability have been all over this board. Those are probably coming from the same people who were the last to know we had a decent team and were no longer tanking. Then that turns into we are on a treadmill. They say no one will ever sign with us as a free agent. Then when Horford does, it becomes Al isn't really a max contract player.

Bitter people are boring and a drain on one's energy. That's why I don't live here despite being as big a Celtics fan as anyone. It gets stale. There are too many people who I'd rather not know are Celtics fans and I couldn't care less about their negative, completely wrong opinions.

People are mostly bitter. I look past it. I bookmark people like you and read your posts and move along. This board expects James Young at 20 to be Ray Allen at 26. I come back and sift and find the good. Boards that allow anyone allow the 2 percent to make it suck but boards like SOSH keep creativity from Flowing as well. It is hard to say which is better.

hey look people talking about nothing again.  I think it's neither positivity or negativity.  People in general have gone down the tubes don't know how to be people anymore. The amount of stupidity out there is nauseating.
