How is the 2018 Nets pick and Smart (Even Rozier is probably better than him now) overpaying for Noel ??? Smart is a redundant piece after having Bradley and Rozier and the 2018 Nets pick likely won't hold as much value.

I'd rather not gut our whole roster and trade for an overrated player like Griffin. Probably not Cousins either. For Davis I would do it.

Why don't we just throw in Crowder and IT? You may not value Smart very much, but he is worth at least as much as the expiring Noel. There is no way we 'throw-in' a BKN pick with Smart just to bring in a slightly better version of Amir. And then there is the issue of paying Noel next year - does $25M+/yr excite you?

I think Noel is much better defensively than Amir right now, and has the potential of being a star player in a couple years. Highly doubt he'll get paid 25 million tho.

I would say trading our whole team for a fringe all star  Griffin, who may leave next season, is a horrible idea.

Griffin is a 5x All-Star and 4x All-NBA selection. I know people have their binky players that they're attached to, but my goodness.

in what way is Griffin a fringe? fringe is when you call a player who may or may not make the all-star team, or the bar should be non-starter all-star

fringe is what you call Rondo at this point or Teague

Rondo? Not at all. He's a decent starter at the moment but not a fringe all-Star. Teague, maybe. I'd say Bledsoe, Al Horford, Paul Millsap, Kyle Lowry are good examples.

I'm not putting too much stock into these rumors. I think a these " sources" are ridiculous.

I think what you see is what you get, maybe a small tweak here or there. I don't think we'll see any big moves for the rest of the summer. The truth is I'd rather the C's continue to stay in a holding pattern and just try to add through FA again. They'll have the space and still have the assets to make a trade.

IT, Bradley, Crowder, Olynyk/Johnson, Horford is a solid starting 5, a top 3 team in the East. Stay the course. You never know how it will play out.

With that 17' pick skyrocketing in value since the draft, who knows? Ainge has built a treasure chest of assets which can be sold off at anytime for any stud really. He's set up quite nicely.

I'll add that when healthy, Blake is an MVP contender.
This is our chance to gain a true top 5 NBA player.

Doc would be an absolute moron to give him up, and I don't think Doc is a moron.
So this is probably not happening.

If he is going to leave in FA next year it would be a good idea to get something for him. The Thunder are in the same predicament with Westbrook.

Doc did give Memphis a 1st round pick for Jeff Green. He also attached a 1st round pick with Jared Dudley for a salary dump. I don't think Doc is a moron, but he hasn't shown a lot of foresight with some of his moves.

To make the salary dump of Dudley even worse, he took back salaries which he then stretched, and are still on the books this offseason.  It was one of the reasons they couldn't make room for Durant.

Yeah. Glenn is no genius, to be sure.

But they reportedly don't get along, and Griffin doesn't like CP3 either. Maybe it's just such a combustable mix that someone has to go, and it's not gonna be Rivers or Paul. It's the guy whose contract is running out.

Maybe this was Danny's plan all along. Send Doc to the Clippers organization so he could ruin their future by sending us Griffin.

There is no rumour of a concrete offer, but we will supposedly give up the Nets picks and Crowder for Griffin.

The stonewallsieve dude says it's Jonas, amir, zeller and the Brooklyn 18 gets it done. Says a Blake trade is 75% likely and a boogie trade is 20% likely.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

That's highway robbery. Can't see a deal getting done without Avery or Crowder.

EDIT: that account is just throwing out ideas. No actual information.

Who do we replace Crowder with if we trade him?  Do we just start 4 players?  There is no chance we give him up

I saw a claim that it was suppose to be Smart/Gay/both BKL picks to LAC, with Crowder to SAC.

but that doesn't work salary wise, and its a crazy steep price for us to pay...hence everyone calling it a bluff.

if it happens, almost has to be both picks + Amir, and one of AB/Smart/Crowder to make it all work out.

Sorry, I didn't realize Crowder was the only SF in the league.
