I've seen enough to at least put him on the 15 man roster...
Only if Sullinger knew how to get to the basket like that...

If Yabusele is on our roster this season, it'll be a failure of optimizing our roster possibilities.

He very well could be on the roster, but don't expect him to play a ton based on summer league.

I agree. I think he can be very good, but he's not ready to contribute serious minutes and it would be better to let him improve overseas before we start the contract clock ticking.

I don't want Sully or Zeller back -- unless it's with the qualifying offer -- but either one would make Yabu look silly right now.

For me, the Draymond Green comparison is a little extreme at this stage in Yabu's career. Mostly because they have very similar builds. Not to mention, there's a lot bball IQ and passing that he can improve on before he's on that Draymond level. If you want a more tempered ceiling for him, I would look more at Paul Millsap. Either way, it would be nice to get him in there sooner instead of later to play with Horford as much as possible; as well as adjust to the quick passing offense the Cs run

Even at the end of the game, we lined up in different formation that he hadn't seen and he called out our play before I got the ball. I heard him calling it out. -John Wall on Brad Stevens

Can someone explain to me why a player would benefit by playing overseas as opposed to playing in the D-league? I don't know anything about overseas basketball, and I've always wondered why a foreign player is drafted and continues to play abroad, while the college rookies go to the D-league if they don't make the roster.
My best guess is that it's related to money, but I am hoping someone can elaborate.

Yab is under contract for two more years in France.  At the very best he's a back of the bench big this year.  I'd much rather he continues to improve on someone else's dime without starting his service time clock.  It'd be much more valuable to have his age 22-26 years on his rookie deal than age 20-24.

Very true since they are not playing in the same system... The only downfall would that their contract in the NBA would start which is only a 4 year deal... so its just a risk or losing a player sooner than later, especially with contract being elevated..

Because you don't have to spend a roster spot on someone who's not ready to play for your team.

Depends on where he plays ....

If he can get a contract with a Euroleague team or in league like ACB,Russian,Turkish und untere some conditions Italy or Greece he ll 100% improve a lot

+ what Kozlodev said

I get that... But for one the contract is easy to buyout.. second he is not going to learn Stevens system in France it could seriously be a setback... even Yab said himself the game is so much faster and thats summer league!! The guys has a great work ethic and has the tools... You provide the veteran presence of Horford and Johnson not to mention the coaching staff and I think he could see valuable minutes come second half of the season... but Im sure DA and Brad see what they need to see and make an evaluation... Odds are if they do keep him they plan to use him at some point this season..
