Wyc said on 98.5 that C's were talking about a trade for a "difficult" player because the price on him has went down since Draft night.

Okafor? Can't be Cousins....can it?

It seems like Okafor's price is already really low. It seems like a mid first pick and a filler vet gets it done.

If that were the asking price, he'd already been traded...

I am not sure how you have any of knowing that. The Celtics asked for a lakers pick that projects for the high lottery along with Okafor/Noel for the number 3 pick. It has been widely reported that Okafor has less value than Noel. I honestly think if the 76ers were offered the 13th pick and someone like sessons, courtney lee or a tiny bit better they would do the trade. They want to get rid of him.

The questions why do they want to get rid of him?

He may be seen as the "Hinkie-ist" of all the draft picks.

Mike

I think he means Cousins. Cousins is about the most difficult player in the league and after drafting Papagiannis the Kings probably feel that Cousins is expendable and so lowered their asking price for him. Yes, Okafor did have his off court situations, but I dont recall reading anywhere that he was a difficult player for his coaches to deal with on a professional level.

He's not exactly saying the player they're interested in is "difficult," - he's saying it's difficult getting a deal done with other teams for that player

I hope it's Boogie though!

Didnt hear the interview so I cant put it into proper context. Perhaps someone who heard it can. Did he say the player was diffcult to trade for or did he say he was a dicficult player. Two different things?

he said no trade? guess that means there will be one.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I'm not sure how we have any way of knowing the assertions you just stated, either.  We have no idea what the Celtics asked for or what was offered.  Rumors being "widely reported" mean squat.

NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.

I guess. I don't think all these reporters just randomly make up the fact that nobody wanted to trade a top 6 pick for Okafor or Noel. Why would they do that?

The only thing anyone knows for certain in anything related to Okafor potential trades scenarios is that every GM in the NBA has not been willing to meet the asking price of the Sixers. From that we can gather that no GM believes Okafor's value is so high that they are willing to be fleeced in a trade to acquire him. Thankfully, Danny is not the one GM who is looking to be fleeced like he once fleeced the Nets.
