This roster is set after picking up the Johnson and Jerekbo contracts. Unless a big trade came through... The Celtics need to further develop their young players Mickey, Rozier, Hunter, and Brown. Only set to lose Turner, Sullinger, and Zeller or most likely anyway..

15 man..
Thomas, Bradley, Smart, Horford, Crowder, Jerekbo, Johnson, Rozier, Mickey, Hunter, Olynck, Brown, Young, Yabuesele,Bentil
Yabu is going overseas, I'd be shocked if we didn't sign one more veteran as of now we are a really really young team. The roster that you listed seems solid, except if we have an injury we could end up counting on guys to play who just aren't ready yet.
Not that it means much, but Yabu said he wouldn't mind being stashed while Zizic said he wants to play in Boston.

Correct.  Yabu won't be on the roster.  But Jackson will, so that's still 15.

That said, I expect one more vet addition, and then a training camp battle between a few players for the last spot.

I dont see one or both of Yabusele and Bentil being on the squad this year and I wouldnt be shocked if the Celtics bring back Sullinger. I know a lot of this board hates Sully and have already written him off but I am not so completely sure the Celtics front office and coaching staff have. Maybe Yabusele or Bentil make the team if Danny clears a roster spot by dumping Young's salary on someone.

The issue with Sully for me is that if we sign him to anything longer than a one year deal it could prevent us from having max space next year.

So due to his weight/health and the need for cap space I'm not willing to give him more than a one year deal.  I'd be shocked if he took a one year deal but if he took a one year deal I'd love to have him back.
DKC:  Rockets

If you give him a one-year deal, you can't trade him without his consent.  I want to give him the same deal as Amir Johnson, two years with an unguaranteed second year, with a willingness to overpay a little in exchange for more flexibility.

I don't like any of the above. If I had to pick one it might be Beasley.

I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I could see an Amir Johnson type deal cor Sully that overpays him greafly this year for the C's to have flexibility the following year if they want to not guarantee it. Something like $21 million the first year and $15 million the second year, if a contract like that is even possible. If Sully thinks his services are worth $18 million a year that is an $18 million average that nets him $3 million e tra this year for giving the team to be flexible while Sully tries to prove that he is worth huge money under this new cba.

So you don't think Sully has already proven he isn't worth a contract like that???

Is Timofy Mozgov? Is Evan Turner? Is Ian Mahinmi? Is Joakim Noah? A whole load of players this year have gotten ridiculous contracts. so, yeah, in this environment, Sullinger is probably worth $16-$18 million per year

Yes, which is exactly the reason we didn't go after any of those guys, right?
