Durant to GSW

1.  I hope GSW is ready for the fallout.  The national media kiss ups will be all over them but they are going from one of the most popular to the most hated teams in the NBA.

2.  This will not be as easy as they think.  Barnes is gone, Ezeli is going to be gone, they have to trade either Bogut or Iguadala and I would expect them to lose another bench piece or two given all the cap space teams still have.  GSW is also going to have to significantly change their style of play.  Durant is not going to be happy running off screens all game.

3.  Durant can kiss goodbye any chance of being considered an all-time great.

Some "basketball decision", KD.  Dubs will be the Clips now.

Durant could simply get the ball on top often, like Green does, while 3 other shooters run off screens and either pass or do his super effective ISO against the missmatching defense.

And what is Green doing?  He was often the primary ball handler, even with Curry on the court.

We are talking about a society that is always looking for the easier way to do things and get to their goals. Not many choose the harder path to the finish line...run through a field of boulders or down a straight and paved path...The Warriors were the paved path..we were the field of boulders...more satisfaction if you can get through the boulders but no guarantee...the paved path is as close to a sure thing as you can get in life...

We are a society that replaced making a pot of coffee with Keurig coffee pods that are destroying our environment since they are not recyclable all to help make a cup of coffee even more simple- Lazy...easier......The easiest road to the ends is usually the one most people take.

How many people would choose to pay dues somewhere for a bunch of years in the hopes of getting to the highest level of the company vs. almost a certain guaranty that your first year that would be taking you right to the top?  He was given a chance to join a dream lineup and create a dynasty that will rival any type of team we have seen in sometime. Couple that with leaving OK for the beautiful Bay Area.

I am not happy with the decision but I can understand the logic behind it. He is essentially joining an all-star team that will most likely be better than the Heat were. Curry and Durant will be a sick duo..unfortunately.....I will not root for his success there in any manner though..make no mistake about that...Here is hoping that the easiest path turns into one filled with unforeseen obstacles that cannot be overcome....

What people don't realize...

Curry is a Free Agent next year so he will get PAID. Even with the cap rising another 15-20M, I think GSW will have to make moves next year to make it happen too, unless Curry takes a paycut which I doubt.

Yeah, I won't root for any career ending injuries, but I hope year after year they struggle with multiple injuries at inopportune times. Two losers get to unite - they deserve each other.

You know what...this is such a bad decision that this is either someone hacked KD's Twitter/Players' Tribune or the backlash he is about to hear will make him pull a DeAndre Jordan and return to OKC.

This is the worst possible thing to happen to the NBA. The Commissioner should be on the phone with Durant at this exact moment. This could be the death knell for the NBA. Nobody is interested in watching a 73-win team add Kevin Durant except for Warriors fans.

The funniest thing is Durant is the biggest reason OKC lost to GS. It would have been nice to have the guy in green but there is something lacking upstairs. Durant and Curry should be best buds. It wouldn't consider either guy a leader personally.

And doesn't this almost guarantee a work stoppage next year with a new CBA? I've seen several reports of NBA owners saying they're now going to push for a hard cap and other stuff to avoid this type of crap.
