Hope part of Danny's presentation was, if you sign elsewhere for a year and become a free agent next year, I WILL have another star in place and ANOTHER top rookie drafted that could make you part of your own dynasty at top dollar

1.  I hope GSW is ready for the fallout.  The national media kiss ups will be all over them but they are going from one of the most popular to the most hated teams in the NBA.

2.  This will not be as easy as they think.  Barnes is gone, Ezeli is going to be gone, they have to trade either Bogut or Iguadala and I would expect them to lose another bench piece or two given all the cap space teams still have.  GSW is also going to have to significantly change their style of play.  Durant is not going to be happy running off screens all game.

3.  Durant can kiss goodbye any chance of being considered an all-time great.

Yea you guys grow the **** up. This is the problem on this board people are way to unrealistic.  The guy wants a title.  He's in his prime it's his choice.  We'd be laughing at everyone else if he signed with us.

TP: I wouldn't go as far as to go along with your first sentence, but agree with the rest of your sentiments.

I predict good but former-star vets will want to join the Cavs and the Spurs just to face them

I still dont get how they will be able to resign Steph next year? All their players except Durant, Thompson, and Green will have to basically play for a vet min or rookie contract...

Please.  His current team was up 3-1 against Golden State and choked it away.  Anyone who flips teams in that situation should be ridiculed.

Their bench will be paper thin. It'll be laughable when they're on the court, but who needs a bench when you have that starting lineup? Holy moly. Just absurd.

Curry and Durant both have had foot/ankle problems.  That team is not invulnerable because there's no one behind the stars if they're hurt or ineffective.

Well Golden State will have ZERO depth.  But they will have the scariest starting 5 in the entire NBA -- Curry Thompson Iguodala Durant Green.  Meet the new Death lineup, now just even scarier!  LOL.

KD said all along it was a basketball decision.  The only two logical basketball decisions were Golden State and Oklahoma City.  That is reality even the Spurs didn't make as much sense basketball wise (because the Spurs two best players are a SF and PF and it causes lineup issues if he signed there).

Here is the thing, KD has always been this way.  I never really understood why he was so well liked and Westbrook was so vilified by the media and fans.  It just never made sense to me (and I've posted similar thoughts numerous times on here so it isn't a spur of the moment thing).

Golden State will be an interesting team.  I'm actually curious to see what they look like.  I wouldn't just assume they will automatically be a better team than they were last year.  Part of their success was everyone having a defined role and having a lot of depth.  GS will lose a lot of depth to bring in KD and he will significantly alter the roles of the players on the team.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver,

No respect for KD.   BUt I have no sympathy for OKC.  I'm sure Sonics fans would be glad to send OKC ownership and their "fans" some handkerchiefs.

Yeah, are they going to play permanent small-ball with Green always playing center now??

Am I the only one happy we didn't sign him? We just don't need those kind of players here. Weak guys do not wear green!  ;)

I couldn't have less respect for a NBA star in history.
