Anyone watch the Sixers Lakers game? Unbelievable finish.

Brandon Ingram and D'Angelo Russell destroyed Ben Simmons lol.

That Big 3 of Randle, Russell, and Ingram gonna look mighty scary.
Simmons nearly had a triple-double.  Russell is great, tho.  Future star right there.  I'd glady trade any one of our young prospects for him.

He was 6/18 before hitting his final two shots, and Ingram missed his first 8, lol.  I know that Russell has NBA experience and that it's only one summer league game, but both of them were shockingly bad.  For whom would you trade Russell, btw?  Brown?  Smart?  Rozier?  Maybe we should just give the Lakers James Young and call it a day.  We don't even have to get anything back, lol ;D.
Yes, I'd trade any of them for Russell.  He's a better prospect than any of the ones we have.
Frankly, I'm getting depressed watching some these other teams trot out their bright young stars, but it hit me hard last night watching LAL with Russell and Nance Jr. especially (Ingram to a less extent) and Philly with Simmons.  I still have faith in Jaylen Brown, but I need to settle back and be patient.
Same. I'm usually an optimistic guy, and I have high hopes for brown, but it is a bit annoying as it seems every other team has some future sure fire all star on their team and we never do. The lakers especially, it's like watching your middle school crush waltz off with the one guy you used to hate lol

Scary bad.

Just wait until the Sixers add Embiid and Saric to Simmons in a couple of months. This team will be adding 3 potential rookie of the year candidates all at the same time. We can safely forget about them competing with the Nets for a top pick next spring.

Just curious since I did not watch those games, how is Simmons on defense? The one time I saw him he was poor. Just didn't seem. To think it was worth the effort.  And how was his outside shooting?

I t he will be a star, what with his passing and smarts.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Welp, I missed the Wizards game, during which Ochefu did not play for some reason which makes no sense to me whatsoever given his performance yesterday, but from just looking at the box score, House had a bad game, even though I guess he hit his first shot, a step back jumper, only to finish with 6 points on 2/11 fg, 1/5 from 3, and 1/2 at the line, 3 rebounds, an assist, and two steals in 21:24.  Sounds like a Celtics to me, lol ;D.

Sheldon McClellan also struggled, scoring 3 points on 1/4 fg, 0/2 from 3, and 1/2 from the line, to go along with a rebound, an assist, and a block, in 14:13.  Oh well.  I still like these guys, though.

On another front, is anyone watching the Bucks game?  Looks like Maker, Vaughn, and Brogdon have all played extremely well, which is especially good for Rashad after having an awful opener.

And the Famous Tanking job done by the Sixers is finally ready to pay dividends. Simmons is a definite future super star and if Embiid manages to stay healthy, they will have a deadly one-two punch. I have not seen a passer like Simmons with such a feel for the game in a very long time.

Man...Dragan Bender looks absolutely terrible.

The guy looks completely lost and uncoordinated out there, and he moves like a robot - no fluidity in his game at all.

His lower body looks like it's made of matchsticks.

The fact that he was outplayed by Noah Vonleh (who has not been able to crack an NBA rotation in two years) seems pretty fitting, since I predict similar levels of success from Bender.  Thank god we did not take him at #3 - I'd take Brown over Bender any day.  At least Brown LOOKS like a man.

I could not disagree with you more. I thought he looked very comfortable on the floor. He was just missing his shots. He had a very good handle, lead a few fast breaks. His one weakness is posting up: he does not have an effective move with his back to the basket.

Tonye Jekiri hit his first shot, an elbow jumper, all net :). Woot, woot, lol ;D.

Edit: Jekiri hit his first 2 shots to go with 4 rebounds, two of which were offensive, in 3:04, lol, and GP II just had a great touch pass off of a missed shot.

What an offensive rebound by GP II :o.

So far this Summer My Favorite C's Rookies are:

NADER....this guy can play--super coordinated, can dribble, shoot and finish.
YABUSULE...Does lots of good thing out there, sets good screens, shoots better than advertised.

I know it's only been like 1-1/2 games, but I'm feeling Sick to my stomach watching Jaylen Brown play---Huge WHIFFF by Ainge.? You had the THIRD Freaking Pick. Trade it, or Pick the best player --you did Neither.
I remember Mannix saying, that this guy was NOT good at Basketball. Hoping things change---cause Danny and Brad are supposed to be Smart guys....What on earth did they see in him ? He plays Chess-? uggh.

Hmm, Buddy Hield is struggling, once again, at the half.  He has 9 points, on 3/10 fg, 1/5 from 3, and 2/3 at the line, with 6 rebounds and an assist in 15:48.

Update on Buddy Hield - after starting 3/13, he hit 4 shots in a row, but still finished shooting 7/20 fg, 5/14 from 3, and 2/3 from the line, for 21 points in 31:52, plus 7 rebounds and 2 assists.  Wow, lol ;D.

Is there another Mr Dunn in SL?

Kris Dunn had 21 points on 9/17 shooting with 9 boards and 4 assists. Might have had better numbers if his thumb wasn't taped up.
