Kevin Durant has informed #Clippers he will not be joining them, per LA Times.

So much for being "blown away" by their presentation.

Blown away by how bad it was, lol
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I agree..No KD boston is better than no KD OKC so if im Durant...its a no brainer to head east where the obstacle to the Finals go through 1 team and that is the Cavs...and they only got lucky in the Finals due to injuries to Bogut and Iggy while Kyrie who we all know is injury prone miraculously was 100% in the finals.

Honestly I think his two best choices are Boston and Golden State... and a lot of people are going to lose respect for him and root against his team if he joins Golden State.  He'll also be causing a hostile situation with Nike.  I mean, maybe if he can get out of his Nike deal and sign with Under Armour that makes more sense.   But Nike isn't going to be pleased with him being Steph's sidekick.  And fans aren't going to respect someone so anti-competitive that he joins the 73 win team that eliminated him from the playoffs to add to Steph and Klay's championship total.  That's just lame.

For what it's worth, a person with connections to Horford told CBS Sports on Saturday night that rival executives assembled in Orlando for Summer League still believe that the most likely scenario for Durant is staying in Oklahoma City.

to be fair though, when LBJ went to Miami, it was the same story, he won 2 championships, was lame BUT he came back to cleveland and won so now no one says anything. Say he could do the same...

BUT anyway we want him in GREEN!:D

It will be [dang] fun XD

Right, and LeBron was hated for it.  Difference was, Wade was a bit past his prime at that point.  Wade and Bosh quickly became LeBron's sidekicks.  Whereas, Steph is coming off an MVP season and the team is coming off 73 wins and almost back-to-back titles.  It wouldn't be Durant's team.  It's Steph's.   Nobody will look at the titles as Durants.  It's a bad move.

Let me just say that I cannot stand Okc and I cannot stand Westbrook.  Seattle was/is a GREAT basketball town.  Once Durant and Westbrook are gone Okc fans will jump ship for Spring college football. There is no loyalty there on any side of the equation, excepting perhaps KD.  I hope KD remembers watching Westbrook chucking away the WCF.

Durant to Boston has always logically made sense and hopefully Horford sealed the deal.  Why would KD want to go theough this again next year?  GS is a frontrunner move, Miami is shedding assets and has a weaker future.  Spurs are always in the picture but what will that roster look like in 2 years and where will Pop be?

Celts can win NOW with some maneuvering for another big, can win mid-term as current youngsters reach prime, and can win long-term with the later high picks as KD sails off into the sunset.

If KD is as smart as I suspect he is coming to Boston.

hm...after seeing the media massacre lebron had to go thru wen he joined the heat, id be surprised if KD picks the warriors. if he wants to win a championship no matter the cost, then GSW is the way to go.

however, durant strikes me as a sentimental basketball player. someone who'd wanna join a team with friends, someone who wants die hard fans, etc. and if im not mistaken, both james young and kevin durant are signed to ROC nation so i wonder if that can play a factor as well.

NBACentral is OK.

Lifshatz I did not know, I just checked him. He seems to be a bit of a homer tbh.

The tell for me: Hearing that Durant's agent had been pitching OKC to Horford yet right after Durant finishes with the Celtics, Horford announces he's coming to Boston. My guess: Durant told Horford that he's coming to Boston if Al's coming to Boston. They agreed Al makes the announcement Saturday, Durant gives Pat Riley the respect he deserves on Sunday, and then the announcement is made on Sunday or Monday.

18, here we come! Maybe 18, 19 and 20, here we come!

I have to be honest and say that reading this thread IMO the expectations are too high- we are overestimating our chances.

ofc you never know, and the Horford signing is a good sign, but for now patience is the best approach. All we get through the media is filtered second-hand info (at best).
