If Westbrook will not commit, then Boston is clearly the superior option vs OKC.

The risk of what the team will be without Westbrook is too great.
even if Westbrook commits, that team is super overrated. Without durant they will struggle to make the playoffs.  They were in the lotto a year ago when durant was hurt.  Garbage supporting cast aside from Adams.

Exactly. And Durant himself has said that he doesn't want to go through this twice again next year, so staying for one year doesn't really make sense given his preferences.

Kyler tweeting out that Boston's chances are very real and legit....I could be wrong but that's the first real main stream media guy saying that.

I have zero belief that he's chosing Boston this year.
dont believe the nonsense the media spews about this situation.  I have been saying Boston has been a logical destination for durant for almost a year.  I would have been shocked had we not got a meeting with him.   He might stay in okc or go elsewhere but our shot of signing him is legit.

I sincerely believe his best chance to win now and long term is golden state or Boston, but golden state is a bad fit for him for a number of reasons.

It's not logical for Durrant. OKC and GSW are more logical for him at present.

We're simply the most logical choice in the East.

Thus i'm not even thinking we'll be in the final conversation for Durrant.
disagee. staying in okc is a terrible decision. Signing with the Warriors would ruin his career.
Good points lb.for me, SA and Boston make the most sense for durant. Not only would he be part of very good teams, each team has great, great coaches,GM, systems, futures, and more.

Having bradly at the meeting was probably to have a champion talk about the importance ofhaving a stable front office, a plan, and a team, as opposed to"you will score a lot with us." I think Bradley also showed that the celticsare serious about championships and how supportive Boston fans are.

The Celtics also have the assets and resources to keep improving under the salary cap.

But SA always has a lot to offer as well.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Kyler doesn't have much insight in all of this. He's simply mentioning what everyone knows by logical deduction.

Durant's agent, Rich Kleiman, was recruiting Horford to join KD n OKC, source says, but I'm told Horford to C's won't b deciding factor 4 KD

I can't fathom how KD in SA will work? Durant and Leonard are both too thin to play the 4 full time and Aldridge isn't a centre

I'm sure OKC were hoping that Horford would go there and now he's signed with us that Ibaka trade has bitten them in the ass, they have a bunch of solid young players and Westbrook...that's it.

So if Durant does sign with Boston, you just know the season opens up with Boston at Cleveland, right? lol That's how it was in 2010-2011 with Miami and Boston (we won, by the way). Got to sell that KD/Lebron rivalry as soon as possible!  ;D

The thing about going to Boston is that nobody can knock him for going to join a team of superstars like they did Lebron.  If he wins in Boston, he gets all the credit.  Even when Lebron went back to Cleveland it seemed like he was ditching a team on the downswing and joining one that had Kyrie Irving and the last two number one picks.

We need drums as we wait in anticipation or something.  Just got back and was listening to talk radio in the car.  Some people are very out of touch. They were talking about Durant on the Timberwolves and how he'd be a really good fit with their young players and would be the guy there.  At least the host decided to change the subject.

I really think Durant is coming here.  OKC is being broken up.  GS is a very good team but I don't think that situation is as good as here.  We are loaded with players and picks to build around Durant.  It's a perfect storm.

Reflecting before bed but I doubt  we sing Durant. This forum is running of the high of Horford and the whole Brady thing.

He probably goes back to OKC for 1 year. Meaning we are gonna bring back a lot of the team on one year deals and have a similar team + horford to last years.

Though everyone has claimed it was an excellent trade, I simply just don't see how it helped OKC as much as it hurt them. Now they're stuck with a one-way player to play at the 4 in either Kanter or Ilyasova.
