I have zero belief that he's chosing Boston this year.
dont believe the nonsense the media spews about this situation.  I have been saying Boston has been a logical destination for durant for almost a year.  I would have been shocked had we not got a meeting with him.   He might stay in okc or go elsewhere but our shot of signing him is legit.

I sincerely believe his best chance to win now and long term is golden state or Boston, but golden state is a bad fit for him for a number of reasons.

Durant's agent, Rich Kleiman, was recruiting Horford to join KD n OKC, source says, but I'm told Horford to C's won't b deciding factor 4 KD

Sauces
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Broussaurd also said Durant was "blown away" by the Clippers presentation.

The Celtics' meeting with Kevin Durant reportedly ended around 7:30pm, meaning it lasted roughly four hours.
plus whatever amount of time they spent with him last night and flying down on bradys jet

[dang], 4hrs?  What could they possibly be talking about for that long?
pretty much all the meetings lasted that long.

What's weird is is that I think the clips meeting went 5 hours and durant was reportedly "blown away" but their moves today (signing Austin rivers) suggest they are out of the running.
They all flew on bradys jet, they talked longer than 4hrs. He flew into Boston last night, maybe they brought him to the garden too?

I've been away from social media all day (great timing huh?), what do you mean by they all flew on bradys jet and he flew into boston last night?

Was it reported that Durant met with the Celtics in Boston???

Thanks to whoever answers this!
lol supposedly.  I don't really believe that though.  Sounds made up.

NY daily news first reported it. Why would new York media make up rumors in favor of Boston?

Pretty sure its legit

It's not logical for Durrant. OKC and GSW are more logical for him at present.

We're simply the most logical choice in the East.

Thus i'm not even thinking we'll be in the final conversation for Durrant.

Were there bathroom breaks, or did Ainge keep giving Durant water, etc., until he couldn't hold it, anymore, at which point the rest of the guys from our team who were present at the meeting bolted to the door(s), thereby barricading Durant and telling him that the only way he's going to be able to leave the room in order to go to the potty to make pee-pee ;D is if he signs with us, using Brady's pen, of course ;), lol ;D. That would also be the best defensive job of Nolynyk's career, ahahaha ;D.

More like serving him all kinds of adult beverages to make the proposal sound better lol.  All in all, I have a good feeling about this.  I'm not hoping for anything though.  We'll see in about 32hrs.

disagee. staying in okc is a terrible decision. Signing with the Warriors would ruin his career.

Why would Durant delay the inevitable for a year to play with a team that is going to be broken up anyways?  Maybe he wants to give Westbrook  a shot but I don't see why he does this.

Tom Brady doesn't just show up at meetings.  I don't see how a guy like Durant could sit there and listen to a guy like Tom and not be fired up to come here.

How unprecedented is it to have the superstar of another team in the city be part of the pitch team?  And then the tweet from Ortiz.    I will be shocked if he leaves OKC -- but I'm getting closer to believing that if he does -- it will be to go Northeast rather than West.

Honestly, I've long thought that if he leaves he's going to Boston. San Antonio and Boston were the only real options that made sense for him outside of OKC, all things considered. After signing Horford, you have to think that we're the favorites. I would bet it's close to 50/50 for him to come here or stay in OKC.

I don't think it's near 50/50.  I'm not getting my hopes up.  OKC gets the first and last word, they just went to the conference finals, and Durant seems like a loyal dude.  The Horford signing I think bumps us to number 2, partly due to being a better team than at 1pm today, partly due to the KD-Horford relationship, and partly due to momentum, but I'd say it's like 60-30-5-5.

Durant is a smart guy, and I'm sure he feels a great deal of loyalty to OKC.

But, to me, if winning is the most important factor, then I don't see how you can make the argument that OKC is in a better situation than us right now after the Horford deal. With several models suggesting that (with Durant) we're right on par or even better statistically and record-wise than Durant on OKC, then combining that equality with the fact that A) we're in the East, and B) we have twice the assets as OKC to make deals, draft, and improve this squad, it's an easy call to make.

I say it's 50/50 because of his loyalty and the fact that it's his home team, but it's one of those situations where his heart says OKC, but his brain says Boston.

If Westbrook will not commit, then Boston is clearly the superior option vs OKC.

The risk of what the team will be without Westbrook is too great.

He just talked about this on Sportscenter, with kind of the opposite emphasis. He said while you certainly can't say that the Horford signing means he's going to Boston, it definitely helped them tremendously in Durant's eyes.

So it's pretty much what we'd expect - that in itself won't win his favor, but it certainly really helped.

Totally with you on that, though I'd add San Antonio to the mix. Golden State would simply "out-talent" most teams simply by having the best players on the floor, even if they fit together horribly.

But just imagine what his stats would look like here without another Westbrook-type to share that many shots with.
