Anyone that takes Summer League as a predictor for how a player will do in the NBA is basing too much off a couple of games.  Anyone who calls someone a bust based on just their rookie season is getting ahead of themselves as well.  But at least people like that have enough patience to see the picks play before they call them busts

I'm certainly not planning on it. Also it's possible to both express trust in what they did at the draft and lament who was available to them. There's no mystery that they could have drafted different players, but aside from Danny's tell-all memoirs (I can hope) we'll never know for sure what was offered for a trade.

I think everyone here will be holding Jaylen's career against guys like Bender, Dunn, Hield and Murray. That's just accountability. That doesn't mean that the fans don't support Jaylen or that we wouldn't trust Danny. It's simple enough to say, "yeah, I wouldn't have done that, but drafts are hard."

What is the point of the hierarchical picks if teams aren't predicting how good or great these players are going to be?  By your "logic" Sixers wouldn't have picked Simmons at number 1 if they didn't predict how great he will do in the league BASED ON SOLID EVIDENCE OF HOW HE DID IN COLLEGE.

Obtained a first round choice for a coach that wanted to leave, and replaced him with probably the most appealing young coach in the league

Assembled a very young roster that won 48 games and that should improve next year even with no moves

Positioned the team with the most favorable contract situation in the league by far

In a league with insane inflation everywhere except with home grown rookies, obtained far and away the largest cache of first round draft choices in the league. This includes 3 consecutive Nets picks just as that franchise  is undergoing a complete collapse and is the clear favorite for last place in the league.

Gotten us meetings with the league's free agent elite for the first time in decades

This year's draft will absolutely effect the team for a long time. However, the idea that you can already judge a draft class before any of them even practice with the team is ridiculous.

Come on, just because you didn't like who the C's drafted doesn't mean that it's going to be a disaster for the franchise. You sound like a Knick's fan who booed Porzingis draft night only to look like a fool almost immediately.
