He's the 3rd pick in the draft and we are talking about bringing him off the bench. He's the 3rd pick in the draft!!!!

It's sad. He has to start for better or worse.
Huh? Plenty of high lottery picks don't start.

He has to play, but starting isn't always the case.

not sure why CBS should start a player who may not be the best player? simply because of location in the draft?

i expect CBS to put the best team out there to start games.
Right most teams start high picks immediately. But plenty of teams do not as well. And the C's are a very unusual team to have the 3rd pick in that we aren't a 20s win team.

You look at that kid Ingram the Lakers drafted. He has to get much stronger to get on an NBA court. Way too thin.

Most of these 19yos don't yet have the bodies for NBA competition. One thing you can say about Ainge's first few picks is they have the bodies.

If he's not good enough to start then he probably shouldn't have been the 3rd pick.

No rookie Celtic has averaged 10+ ppg since Pierce in 1998.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Did u see us in the playoffs?  We are not that talented. We just have a good coach and 1 all star that can over achieve in the regular season. It's time to take a step back and develop all of these assets by giving them proper nba playing time.

Proper nba playing time for the #3 pick usually means starting.

Turner has to be gone. Brown, Smart, and Rozier all need to grow and I think they can replace his production.

PG - IT, Rozier,
SG - Bradley, Smart
SF - Crowder, Brown,
PF - Sullinger, Jerebko, Yabusele, Mickey
C - Amir, Zizic,

Sign three good free agents, and I'm good with this.

We stink. The rest of the East is catching up fast. I think

Cleveland
Toronto
Atlanta
MiamI
New York
Indiana
Detroit

May all be better than us now.

CLE stays contenders until either LeBron slows down or leaves the Cavs
Toronto lies heavily on if Derozan stays or not
ATL - all eyes on Horford if he stays or not or if that trade helps or not, and chemistry with the new players coming in
Miami - we will see what happens to them come FA, if Wade can have another healthy season
NY - not convinced just yet, also lies in FA
Indiana - I think will be competitive but don't think they are ready to compete with CLE
Detroit - again we shall see, they barely missed playoffs this year

I say we are still a top 4 team in the East. I am not too worried

The future was supposed to start yesterday. That was a failure. 8 picks and what do we have to show for it. Projects with great bodies that can't shoot.

Next we are waiting for free agents. When that fails we will be waiting for the trading deadline. Next it will be the 2017 Brooklyn pick and eventually it will be that coveted lottery protected Clipper pick.

I am not getting any younger. I want to compete now. I am getting tired of mediocrity. I'll bet Stevens will be tired of it too if Danny and ownership doesn't step up.

Problem is we aren't a traditional team with a 3rd pick. We have Good established players. Brown will have to earn his minutes just like everyone else. Thats Stevens style. Earn it in practice, get a shot in the game, continue to improve more minutes.

I think Brown will be better than Crowder in a couple years, but he has to get consistent to earn starting minutes. I'm just wondering if Brown could play the two guard. Hes quick enough, and with IT you don't have to worry about out side shots as much. Which I think Brown will get better at.

I really like the pick, could still be a bust, but so could anyone in this draft. Maybe not Simmons, but it's really a crap shoot after that.

Turner leaves. Smart is 6th man. Jaylen plays 15-20mpg.

^this seems the most likely scenario to me now; I do not know how many mins Jaylen will play but I will be rly surprised if Turner stays.

As a general thought, I see no reason to hang on to average players such as ET when you have so many picks this year and the years coming. Personally, I would not fall in love with any of the ET, Sully, Zeller, Amir, Jerebko, J Young group: some of them will be used as short term plugs, but that's probably it.
