When you're a 48 win playoff team picking #3 overall you go BPA all day, every day.
So, Okafor.

He's definitely not the BPA.
This is the first time I've seen someone say this.  Did something happen?

I'm pretty sure I've seen a LOT of people say it
I don't think so.

Okafor is widely seen as a better prospect.  I get that there might be teams with a need for a PG like Dunn, but everything I've read acknowledges that Okafor would be drafted ahead of the guys available 3-8.

I have no recollection of any respectable source (or any source at all really) who has stated that beyond maybe your hair dresser (or key cutter, or bread baker, or whoever it was) that you reportedly get your college ball scouting reports from.
Yes, except all the pundits on draft day who said that Noel is thought to only be able to fetch a low lottery pick.

But if you can get him as a free throw-in on a Nerlens Noel deal I'll take it.

You mean the other way around with Nerlens as a throw-in.  Okafor is the better player.

No - Noel is a better player and more valuable prospect.  As has already been indicated by the recent feedback and reports.

Please do me a favour - find me any article on the 'interwebz' right now that indicates that Boston values Okafor more than Noel.

I will wait.

Ah of course, how all players are judged.  Twitter rumors and heresay.

Shouldn't we be drafting to address our needs?  This board screams rim protection all year and all the hype is about guards. All this talk of the Brown-Heild-Dunn muddies an already crowded roster.  We have players that can score.

We already have our own 3 point shooting, 7' stretch 4-5 with KO...so forget Bender - more redundancy.

Why not take the arguably former pre-season #1: Skal Labissiere.

He held his own with Ben Simmons in the tournament.  He can help right away, he blocks shots.  He can hit the spot up jumper.  He's an upgrade over Zeller and Johnson.

We'd be crazy to pass on his potential for yet another volume scoring guard.

Put this kid in the weight room and let Brad unlock this kid's Jedi powers.
I believe most teams would like to have all of Bender, Olynyk and Labissiere, at least the smart one's.  They can certainly play together and be devastating to opposing defenses.  I am rooting hard for the C's to somehow draft both Bender and Lab enabling them to get ahead of the curve on 2 way stretch bigs that are exceedingly hard to find.

This.  Would be a nice draft for the C's....how far will Skal drop?

Every single team in the lottery needs a stretch big.  I can't believe with the stroke Labissiere has that there is anyway he falls past 7.  But who knows a lot of teams did some really really dumb stuff last year both in the draft and in the off season and they are paying for it now.
