FYI, none of these deals get made until draft night anyway so this much ado about nothing.
The excuses of a Celtics fan.
Last year on draft night when no deals got done:
"it's hard for teams to make a trade on draft night because teams fall in love with players, it's much easier at the trade deadline"
At the trade deadline when no deals got done:
"Teams don't want to be lowballed, and will wait for their draft position at the end of the season before making rash decisions"
Let's be serious here, teams are growing weary of trading with Ainge because we always somehow get the upper hand.. furthermore our players are good but not as good as people around here make them out to be, they're also good because they play so well together. Do folks already forget "We are one superstar"
What was Crowder in Dallas? A bench player who rarely saw the court.
Jerebko in Detroit? A Nobody who rarely played on a terrible team
IT on Phoenix? A problem on a terrible team
Our record and contributions from last year are a product of CBS system, not of individual play.
Hopefully a few solid FA's see that and if not we can build through the draft like the Warriors did.
I can't blame the Bulls for not wanting a #3 pick in a mediocre draft for a All Star
Or Utah for not wanting to give up Hayward for the #3. He's a top 7 SF in the NBA which is arguably the most important (and hardest to fill) position in the NBA.
Remember "We are one superstar" funny how folks around here think everyone on our roster is there own superstar when it comes to trade value.
