Now CSN is saying #3 pick for one of Noel/Okafor. Said Ford is reporting (guessing) AB for one of them.
Wait, are you saying CSN is saying something different than Ford?
I think I'd do AB for Noel without blinking. I love AB, but Noel's defense and athleticism would be HUGE for us, especially with Smart ready to step in at the two spot.
And after a quick look, the only places seemingly still suggesting Okafor for #3 is "SixersSense," who also said Okafor for Wiggins should happen.
Tim Welsh says he's hearing #3 for either Noel or Okafor
Felger said Ford said: AB for either Noel or Okafor.
AB for Noel/Okafor makes sense, then leaves us with #3 to move in a package for Butler.
I'd be happy with AB for Noel if we have a strong plan in place to land a solid SG.
People seem to think Butler is worth a heck of a lot more than just the #3 pick, though. I've seen it suggested it would cost us #3 + Thomas + Crowder. No thanks.
Moving #3 to a 3rd team as a way to acquire Kevin Love, and pairing him with NOel, would be pretty interesting.
I think Boston is leaning Noel, but Philly likes him more and if they end up with one of the two after draft night they rather have Noel and give up Okafor so they aren't willing to just let him go easily. Maybe thats why DA wants more than just Okafor for the #3, to pressure Philly into giving him Noel.
It would be funny if LA took Dunn and threw this all out of wack.
Danny just needs to play hardball with them. They're the ones who absolutely NEED Dunn, because they don't have a rotation caliber guard, or even really wing, on their roster. I'd bet they will eventually fold and give Danny what he wants, or Danny can just pick Dunn and deal with the rest later. Plenty of other teams will be interested in at least one of Dunn, Bradley, or Smart to make room for playing time.
