depends who's available at 16 or 23? Looks like there could be some pretty good players available, and the Celtics could use some help shooting and a decent  big.

I would prefer using 1 of the 2 in combination with 2nd rounders or players or both to move up into the top 12 to land Deyonta Davis.  I don't think he will last to pick #16.

Gotta take a chance on Thon Maker.

Just for info on 17 draft-

Sam Vecine said that the #10 pick in the NBA draft probably has the same value as the #3 pick in this year's draft.

Chad Ford recently said that the 17 draft is absolutely loaded. In fact, he continued by saying it's one of the best drafts he's seen.

Yeah, that's a bit of hyperbole from Vecine.  A solid bit of it even.

When it's a team's turn to draft, they won't randomly select a player because they're all the same value.  They won't shrug and roll a die, or spin a wheel.  Each team knows who they think is best, and they have reasons for it.  And if you pick at #3, you can get your guy.  Guaranteed. At #4, you probably can get your guy, unless you and #3 have the same opinions.  At #8, you're likely not going to get that number 3 player on your board.  You might still get someone you like, but the odds are high that it won't be the player you like the most.  At #10, it's just not happening.

Just because a reporter might hear different evaluations from different team DOES NOT mean that the value is the same.  That's not how value works.  It's a lazy, hyperbolic statement from Vecine.

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
This year's draft is deep. There will be good prospects available at 16+23. I think we should make the picks, or use 2nd rounders to trade up a few spots. With the second rounders, trade for future picks or rotation players.
I hope to come out with just 3 players and 2 stashes. Use some of the other picks to move up or push till 17. I am hopeful DA to to find a second round gem too. If we can get three player inside of 15 that would be great for our future.

Next years draft is always loaded, it seems.  But these loaded drafts just haven't materialized.

I'm not a Love fan but I'd rather package one to get him. I think in Brads system he'd flourish.

Gotta take a chance on Thon Maker.

That isn't popular here.

But he might be a lottery pick, with his length, athleticism and shot.

Will KG's Wolves grab him?

I disagree and think people are pretty good at judging the strength of drafts
